Secondary H-Pipe?

Curious if anyone knows whether the pipe highlighted below (from the stock PE) is a secondary h-pipe or just a brace?

It's an H pipe. Mines gone.

That's a great picture of the stock exhaust, btw. I was looking high and low for decent pictures to get an idea of exactly how it looked before I had my exhaust done.

Interesting, thanks. So you removed that h-pipe? Did you do anything else? How has the sound changed?

Did second cat delete and then just upstream from that second h was cut and straight piped all the way back in 3 inch, similar to the AWE track exhaust design. Its louder and deeper.

I've got a couple short clips but nothing really matches up to what you hear in real life. I've actually been meaning to get a friend to do a couple drive bys at different speeds to hear it from the outside and record. Do you have anyone with a awe track exhaust around? My friend has a stock car with awe track exhaust, mine sounds the same but a bit louder because of the second cat delete. The AWE track is essentially just straight pipe 3" from after the valved H to the mufflers. Car is fairly loud low RPM and at idle, especially when in sport plus and idling at like 900rpm. It's obviously louder overall when ripping around but it never gets obnoxious loud levels because it's a turbo car. I would imagine a catless downpipe/ stock exhaust car would be a bit quieter low rpm and idle but louder at WOT (maybe?). Overall it was the loudest I could do without doing downpipes and it sounds great. I also don't have the update for the pops and crackles, which sucks, so downshifts in sport plus sound like just one single shotgun blast lol. Also, both these videos were uploaded through snapchat first, which loses some quality.

I was actually recording from behind the car in this one and was surprised at how loud it was outside of the car versus what I heard inside. It sounds much quieter in the video too. I also got lucky and got a couple pops and crackles on this one which is rare for me:

Car is fully warmed up for this start:

i guess you were right because i dont think the video is doing justice as it sounds like my car with a sec cat delete. I guess ill have to delete the mufflers to find out what it does to the sound.

hows drone without the mufflers?

Ya, it's hard to say because I've never heard a 2nd cat delete car. It's definitely gong to be louder having both things done though. I'm still getting used to a turbo car in how it sounds, the turbos really mute the exhaust sound heavily. I came from a w204 with long tubes, catless X and no reso... so everything seems quiet.

Car has no drone IMO, however I find people sometimes people don't have an understanding of what drone actually is and over use it. It never gives you that annoying in your ear drone though.
