How reliable is the C63 W205 long term?

2017 Mercedes-Benz AMG C63 Cabriolet, 2014 Ducati Multistrada 1200 S

How reliable is the C63 W205 long term?

I just bought a 2017 AMG C63 Cabriolet and I put about 20k a year on my last car and plan to enjoy this car as my daily driver. The car is two years old and has 16k miles on it. I have the CPO warranty good until 2022 and unlimited mileage and I purchased the extended warranty for another two years at which point I’ll probably get rid of it but I also don’t want to have to deal with problems all the time either.

I take excellent care of my vehicles and will take it to Mercedes for all its maintenance needs.

So far I’m absolutely smitten with this car. It is everything my 2014 E550 Coupe was not. Reasonably powerful and good looking were about the best attributes of my e-class but the brakes were crap and the steering fairly numb. Seats weren’t as comfortable as this C63 either.

I think the most common mechanical issue I've seen is problems with the e-diff, but don't quote me on that.

As far my own personal experience, I had to have the trunk lid motor replaced a couple months after I got my car and the rear sway bar bolts re-torqued (was causing a clunking noise) about a year in. A couple times the Bluetooth stopped working but honestly that might've been my phone. Other than that, it's been solid (for me).

Very reliable, unless you modify it with poorly designed performance tunes and parts that affects the reliability.

Mercedes C63S AMG (W205)

I have a 2016 Sedan with 39,500 miles and it is my daily driver, and rally car. I have had no major issues what so ever. I tuned the car to Stage 2 with catless downpipes around 20,000 miles and the only thing i have had to do outside of regular maintenance is change a spark plug around 33,000 miles. (mind you with tuned cars you will want to change them out every 20-25k miles so i am coming up on needed to do the swap anyways). Very reliable.

'17 AMG S63 Convertible, '17 AMG C63S Edition 1 Coupe

I put 49,9xx miles on my 2017 in 2 years, with 32K of them in the last year. No mechanical problems to report aside from needing to have a precollision ECU recalibrated. Not long term, but heavy usage (almost all highway miles). Just tires and brakes.
