C63s mct transmission shifting problem

Hello all! I am new to this, but I will try to keep it short. I have a 2016 c63 (non-s) with a harsh downshift problem. After getting the 30k transmission service, I noticed a VERY hard downshift from 4-3. I would compare it to hitting an animal, it's that bad. (It also feels like when you are driving a manual car and you downshift by dumping the clutch with no rev match) So I had the dealer look at it and they proceeded to do some shift reset/adaptations. The downshift seemed fine initially, but it still has that jerk (much softer than before but still noticable). As of now, it only happens between 2000-2500rpm. Could it be a bad valve body or shift solenoid? Could it also be that I need to drive it more to get the adaptations? Thank you very much guys!!!

Everything was done at the dealership.

i never get my services done at the dealer. their prices are sky high! Here in Toronto I was quoted $900 for Service B but ended up paying $400 at my indy shop!

How are you going with the hard downshifts? I also get this sometimes too. It's like a thump when you downshift into 3rd from 4th without lifting your foot off the accelerator.

Have you noticed it goes away as your transmission temp goes up? I think it's quite common.

Good to hear it sorted itself out for you. These cars man I swear they can make you stressed sometimes.

Are you getting a "thump" if you downshift from 4th to 3rd without lifting off the accelerator? Or does it also happen even if you are coasting without your foot on the pedal and you drop down from 4th to 3rd too?
Does yours go away after it's really warmed up?

Welcome to garbage AMG transmissions. Aside from the DCT in the GT, the rest are MCT and they are absolutely trash. They hold back great engines, because of stubborn MB/AMG engineers. Just put a ZF 8 speed in the cars like Audi/BMW do and they would be unbeatable.

I believe there was a service bulletin about this a while back? I'll have to look for it. I think it updated the TCU?

Even after the update tcu & ecu with the softer shifts in Sports+ I too get this THUMP when downshifting 4th > 3rd............ who else has this sh*t thing sometimes???
