Anyone have any links or DIY threads on replacing the rear rotors on a 2017 c63s. Brakes are not ceramic.

Any advice on performing this yourself?

I have a pneumatic car lift and have performed brake jobs on countless american made vehicles (mostly vettes and camaros). I would like to believe I am mechanically inclined but have NEVER performed such work on a german auto.

Any advice, thread links, or instructional on how to perform would be greatly appreciated.

its the same as any car with disc brakes.

1. there is a procedure done through instrument cluster to release the electronic parking brake. go to milage display under trip with key in first position. hold call connect and ok for 5 seconds. secret menu show, go to fit e brake position. wait for it to move to positon. you will exit this position in same way when done.
2. f you are changing pads as well, open up brake fluid reservoir to release pressure while pushing brake piston back with a caliper clamp.
3. disconnect, brake actuator connector, and wear sensor.
4. unbolt wear sensor.
5. unbolt top of caliper with 2 13mm bolts i believe it was. hang with hanger or set on bucket or something.
6. i have gotten rotor off without taking off caliper mount or you unbolt the 18mm bolts on back of caliper bracket.
7. unscrew rotor set screw. take off rotor.
8. install in reverse order

I have the same 2017 C43 as you and with 19" wheels. I purchased used C63 rear calipers and wanted to replace the rear rotors. What was the final result of the 360mm rotors and rotor hats that would allow everything to fit the clearance of the calipers. Any help would be appreciated

It’s in German but you’ll get the idea, just loosen the screw holding the disc and reverse the order

you need a special 2 piece rotor with custom hat to make it work. I machined a new hat for an existing brembo rotor. they are not cheap. rear rotors ran $1000+ custom hats.

The bolt torque specs seem to be so allusive.. Run across several threads and videos yet no one mentions them. Anyone know the rear torque specs for both sets of bolts in the rear (caliper guide bolts & bracket bolts)? I installed the 2 piece up front yesterday but want to get the rears done today. Thanks for the help!

Hello.
I rescue the thread.
The rear pads were changed at an official Mercedes dealer and they placed the pad with the wear warning on the outside. The question is, where does the pad with the wear warning really go, on the outside or inside?
I think it's important because the pads are different from the back.
Thank you so much.
