Expensive German Car Drivers are not nice

Here's an interesting blog post I came across: https://stephenshapiro.com/be-self-c...t-not-selfish/

Maybe those with more expensive cars tend to have more commitments and business to conduct (how they pay for their expensive high performance car), and so they don't have time to wait for pedestrians. The added stress of their high-risk/high-reward business causes them to generally be more stubborn, disagreeable and unempathetic.
See how ridiculous that sounds?
Bull**** article.
How can they say that??? I'll fight anyone that says I'm argumentative! And, I'm not stubborn - I've got the scars to prove that, too. Disagreeable? Really??? Just because they're wrong and I'm right doesn't make me disagreeable. And, I really don't care how they feel about it!
In all seriousness, I'm sure that a sub-set of expensive car owners fits the profile. So does a subset of inexpensive car owners. I like fast cars. That's just the way it is. I've been involved with car clubs and car owners for my entire adult life (all fast cars). The vast majority of those folks are the kindest, most generous people I've ever had the privilege of knowing. Many are "Type A", successful, driven people. It's likely how we afford the cars we drive.
"The team discovered a second type of person was attracted to high-end cars – conscientious men and women often described as respectable, ambitious, reliable and well-organised." I think this is much more the accurate profile I'm familiar with. Immodestly, I like to think it is a better description of me. (Flame suit ON!)
If I ever meet the authors of that study, I'm going to punch them right in the nose!

The Best of Mercedes & AMG

I think this is coming from all the jealous people who have not made the correct decisions in their life to be able to afford a car as fine as ours. And this is coming from the Sr. Financial Analyst who can barely afford an AMG (LMAO from another post...some will get the joke)

But I have seen it where people at a gas station, etc...will give me this look...you know like when your parents didn't approve of something you were doing...OH WELL!!!

However, I find most people here in AZ are cool about it and I even had a young couple at a Cars & Coffee recently ask me what I did for a living because they wanted to know how to be able to afford a car like my AMG one day...too cool!!!
I am a pretty courteous driver but sometimes I like to get on it.

100% agree with the jealousy part.

BTW I started a thread where I recently bought two "brand new" rear PS4S (295) tires...hmmm...interesting that I could afford that...LOL https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-c63s-...5-30-20-a.html

I just want to clarify that these last couple of post were not talking about username "Bruce" who attempted to be cool and sell some slightly used tires and got burnt over shipping charges.
Jimmy_c63s and myself were referring to some other usernames that jumped on Bruce's thread (about selling the tires) and assumed it was me who did him wrong and it was not (check the thread where Bruce told everyone it was not me).
So my apologies to Bruce if our last few post came across wrong.

Me? I'm an offense driver; not defensive. I don't 'sit' in the left lane. I don't text while driving. I don't get on the phone and tie up the passing lane. If I am not passing the car to my right, I move the **** over behind him to leave the left lanes open. It really doesn't matter what I'm driving. New or old, a Ford, an MG or a Mercedes or a Porsche, I try my best to use a modicum of old-school common road courtesy. And, because of this, I have a problem with incompetant drivers and/or their unmaintained cars that have no business being on the road with other people.
As far as owning a nice car, like my C63S coupe, I take exceptional care of it. But, I've done that with every car I've ever owned. And I don't mean just the exterior. That includes the entire car and every aspect of it. I use my analogy of a cowboy and his horse. His life depended on a good horse and the care needed to do that. I see that in both my cars. They are my horses on the roads. I want to know I can depend on either of them at any given time in any situation.
Personally, I don't buy the article as others have stated.
I am a life long wrench turner, big thinker/dreamer, businessman, entrepreneur and ******* driver to boot. Why do I wear that badge proudly? Take a look around the next time you take a lengthy road trip... The level of ignorance, disregard for human life and general reckless behavior from other drivers is astounding.
I love my car and I drive aggressively to protect my c63. How I drive has nothing to do with what badge my car bears and everything to do with a significant percentage of the population having no business being legally licensed drivers.
