Beware of YABEELA PARTS

BUYERS BEWARE

☠️ YABEELA PARTS☠️

Please do not buy from Sammy at Yabeela Parts. I bought Yabeela’s Forged Long Block with Race Ported Heads. This engine has numerous problems, stripped block/head threads, no oil pressure and compression issues (spraying oil out of cylinder 5 spark plug hole). This engine is unusable. I advised Sammy of these issues who then stated that there’s no International Warranty supplied and that because I bought the engine at a discounted price that I could spend the money I saved on fixing all the problems. He now is not replying to my messages leaving me with having no choice but to have the engine pulled down and rebuilt out of my own pocket. I want to say, I didn’t want to out Sammy & Yabeela Parts & have tried to seek a resolution first. Very poor business Sammy. You were happy to take my money but not willing to back your products you sell. 😡
I’m happy for this message to be sent onto anyone, any company or any forum where it may stop the next person that maybe thinking of spending their hard earned money with Yabeela. If anyone requires further information please contact me direct.

That's unfortunate. Helps narrow down the aftermarket turbo options. Unfortunate as their YP4 offering looked like a good option.

I have a video of the engine being cranked over with now plugs.

Shows no oil pressure to turbo oil feed lines and oil squirting out of cylinder 5 but I can’t upload to You Tube to attach here for some reason.

Below photos are of the debris found in the sump/oil baffle when sump removed to fault find.

Also most bolt thread required to be helicoiled.

Total scammers. A friend of mine ordered downpipes for his c63s four months ago. They have been lying about everything in regards to his order. Stay clear.

Definitely look at your other options and stay well clear of Yabeela.

Ive referee a lot of customers their way so only the right thing to advise everyone else that Sammy does not/will not warrant his products when something goes wrong.

He just blames everyone else then goes silent when it’s clear his engines are bad.

I know exactly how you feel. I bought a 996 turbo engine from vivid and it was a pile of ****, I had to replace all the rubbish parts and have it rebuilt properly at great expense, there was even an article written on it and published online, but people still que up to buy from them.

The engine is now good, rebuilt by one of the most reputable mezger builders in the UK, but it cost me.

On the bright side, you'll get better than you originally wanted, because everything will be checked with a fine tooth comb and rectified, you don't leave anything to chance when you've been stiffed. Good luck.

What's there some understanding that this engine was used, or would not be a 100% ... and that is why the price was discounted?
Did Yabeela state up front there was no warranty? If not, that is definitely shady.

No, discount offered just through normal negotiation.

Newly rebuilt block using CP Pistons and Carrillo Rods, new Mercedes hardware & Parts built by his German Master Tech & shipped out of the States.

I purchased my Turbo upgrade from Sammy and actually had a really good relationship with him until the day I messaged him to advise the engine had no oil pressure.

When I asked if the issue was due to the build if he would honour warranty he basically stated Mercedes won’t even warrant a brand new oil pump and that Yabeela does provide International warranty.

He then proceeded with the blame game and after sending him video evidence now will not reply to my messages.

I don't understand that 3rd party bit, it was him who sold you the engine, who's the third party, the manufacturer of the parts? He represents them! He's either thick or stupid, not sure which.

Hope you get this resolved soon, I've heard of other issues with this company and they don't stand behind anything they sell.

But can you imagine if you installed the engine yourself and went back to them with issues? They’d be saying, we don’t warranty work that isn’t performed by certified shops.

I’ve been in situations like these where I’ve spent enormous amounts of money on a bored and stroked engine (Audi 2.7T engine build nearly a decade ago) and on startup it was pouring smoke out of the exhaust. The shop who built the engine, installed it, and tuned my B5 S4 denied any responsibility and it resulted in me suing them. Long story short, I put them out of business. I’m not proud of it, but they got what they deserved (there were many other customers that had been screwed by this company in the past).

I would advise you to read through and pay close attention to Yabeela’s T&C’s and warranty claims - if it’s not stated explicitly on their website or wasn’t ever communicated to you prior to purchase, you might be able to file a claim depending on how you paid.

Either way, this is shady business and the exact type of crappy practices I avoid if I ever hear it from a shop. Standing behind your product and providing support post-purchase is the difference between a legitimately run business and one that’s in it for a quick buck.
