Wheel hop?

In the last few weeks I've been noticing that when I launch hard or accelerate hard from low speed, the rear wheels will break traction, but instead of a relatively smooth spin or slide, the rear of the car seems to skip quite violently, shaking the car and sounding terrible. After some googling it sounds like it might be wheel hop, where the tyres are rapidly breaking, gaining, breaking traction.

My theory was that the TC was intervening enough to prevent a full wheel spin, but not enough to prevent the skipping. I tried turning the TC all the way off (face lift 9 stage TC etc) and it seemed to help a bit but didnt eliminate the problem.

Has anyone else experienced this?

How many miles? Probably bushing or two wearing out? Easy fix

i think we tend to over think these things. Pretty sure that wheel hop is normal. If i floor it from a stand still or very low speed, depending on the surface the tires do hop.

I recall on a wet surface if i turn the wheel all the way to either side, itll hop a little then too and imo its because of the camber we have

I have this same issue on my 2020 coupe since brand new. Seems to only happen on certain types of road surfaces. I doubt it has anything to do with something being broken.

Same thing happens to my 2019 Coupe. I think this might be an FL issue, as this didn't happen to my PFL W205 sedan.
