Mountlake Terrace, WA is within the greater Seattle area like 15 miles away or something.

Already have a few signed up for it - still need a few more to get it confirmed and buy tickets.

Lemme know if you have any other questions.

Thanks!

They may be another round if there's enough interest in the future! Get with Chris @ Star Motor Werks and see if you can work out something to drop it off If you're serious about it, we can accommodate many options.

Thanks!

The Basics:
- This is not a "NEW" product, just newly available to the masses. It's been well proven and tested for many years.
- Designed to be safely within the safe hardware limits of the transmission
- No change to daily comfort
- Increases Line Pressure
- Increases Power Holding Capacity
- Increases Torque Limiters in All Gears
- Reduces Shift Times

The overall result of this is a better driving performance experience, as the ECU and TCU work in harmony to deliver the power you want, when you want it. The TCU tune works with any tuned, modified, or bone stock car (and it's a fantastic first mod). Your car will be quicker, more responsive, and much more enjoyable

So far we sessions set up in:

- Chicago,IL

- Costa Mesa, CA (SoCal)

- Burlingame, CA (Bay Area)

- Baltimore, MD

- Orlando, FL

- Cincinnati,OH

- Las Vegas, NV

- Seattle, WA

- Phoenix, AZ

- Omaha, NE

- Minneapolis, MN

- Detroit, MI

If you're located in the Northeast or Tri-State, message @5soko and he can get you squared away.

Go visit www.eurochargedatx.info to sign up for your region and put down your deposit!

Any questions at all can be posted here, or directed to me. You can also call the shop if you like - 512-777-2799.

Intro price for the TCU tune is $1,800 - NO other costs or fees involved. Deposit is $300 and is credited towards the cost . Once we've visited your region - the normal price kicks in.

**Quick Note** - Chicago, Burlingame, Baltimore, and Costa Mesa (SoCal) only need a few more cars each to set dates. So if you're close - let's get after it

I thought they had opened up the borders... At any rate, you can hit up Slav and Vlad at ECC in Toronto. They may be able to help you.

Im in Norcal and would love to do this but $1.8k is steep! Were the majority of the 12 cars that were recently flashed also running your ECU tune or was there a mix? Reason I ask is because I run a gintani ECU tune and wonder if they will play nice together.

Trust me, there are some people that say that at first - but once they drive the car before and after, they 100% become a believer We tuned a number of cars with tunes different tuners, along with a couple completely stock cars (including a magno white C63s) He was SUPER impressed. The only consideration you have to be concerned with is if Gintani is under-reporting torque to the TCU. It's actually kind of common, and doesn't take long to correct. I would just ask him and go from there

Thanks!

I am in for Atlanta, hell I would drive to Orlando too the only issue is with no dates and a non refundable deposit someone like me who has a busy work schedule simply can’t commit without knowing when it could come up. I know all the local Atlanta shops of you have an interest in doing it here and could probably get mine and at least one more car of the dates work.

Easier said than done, dude does not like to be bothered. Regret going with their tune because of the after support. Thanks for the additional info though, very tempting..

I am following this thread with interest but haves some newbie questions. Would MB service easily recognize the tune? What if they refresh the TCU programming as part of a service update or maintenance?

ECU override

The question has been ask, but the answer is not very clear. What if dealer overrides the ECU because there is a new update? I would definitely let a dealer do it because I do want the latest update (whatever that is). Am I soll and won't be able to get a new file? Usually, vendor will adjust a file accordingly to a new update and re-flash with a new file. What do you do about it? Would you provide a new updated file in that case?

There is $700 re-tune fee for the TCU, but I can't stress enough that there is ZERO reason to have updates done in most cases... I was a dealer tech for most of my professional life, and still stay well up to date and in the loop about current bulletins/DTB's... The answer for most folks is to not have the dealer flash your car, it's simple, free, and there are no downsides. If you're not willing to do that, and you permit them to flash over your tune - there will be a fee that applies

Thanks!

So basically if a dealer overwrites the TCU to update it, it’ll cost $700 to reflash software you already paid $1800 for?

Dave, there has to be a better solution than this... you guys really need to get a remote/at-home solution. Renntech already has it in their hand held bundled with the ECU tune - is this something you guys are working on or plan to offer in the future?

$700 to reflash software you already paid $1800 for is absurd. I’m sorry, but that’s the truth. You guys need an at home or DIY flash solution if you’re going to charge upwards of 2k just for a TCU tune.

I absolutely agree. I flash my car to stock every time I take it to a dealer. I use Velos Designwerks and every time dealer overrides the ECU (which doesn't happen that often, but it happens) I get a new file without additional fees. The only time I was charged, that was $180, to reprogram the handheld to read new stock ECU because I took my car to a dealer with a mod and they flashed it. At the time, I had to pull new stock file to be able to flash the mod.

I also have Velos and do the same. Btw, when do you know you need a new tune from Velos after a service call?

Also, my problem with the TCU tune...even I simply pay the $700 how would you put it on w/o a handheld? Right now they "tour" the US to apply the tune but doubt they come to you to re-flash for $700?

I always ask an advisor if they flash the ECU. Most times dealer won't even add it to the final invoice. If an advisor doesn't know, I ask them to confirm with a tech.

the mercedes tax is ridiculous. BMW can reflash their TCU for hundreds of dollars not thousands. maybe tuners would get more sales and interest from benz owners if the prices were reasonable. Maybe we should reach out to bootmod and ask them to do mercedes. I bet we could get 200-300 guys to preorder from them for 500-800 total. You wave over 100k in front of someones face and i bet they would get to it. plus they dont require anything fancy to code, just a rasberry pi.
