auto transmission jolt in sports mode

I have a C63s 2016 amg and was wondering has anyone had a problem when they have their car in sports mode and when driving to say slow down to a set of lights from 2nd to first they get a shocking jolt when changing down gears? Has anyone had this and whats the procedure to reset the transmission module? I tried the accelerator procedure but did nothing. I also had the gear oil changed recently to see if it would help.

I experience the exact same thing in sport+, never drove in sport before lol. I think this is just the nature of these transmissions as others have experienced the same thing. I usually just drive in manual and down shift at higher rpm's so I can hear the pops and avoid this jerk

Jerky transmission at low speeds in sport+ mode is a common issue. The TCU update done in conjunction with the much discussed exhaust software update resolves the issue.

Is there a way to tell if TCU has been updated? I got the engine update for the pops/crackles but I still get jerky shifts at low speeds in sport+

Believe the only way to determine the TCU version is hooking it up to the MB computers.

If you got that engine update then the TCU should have been done at the same time. Perhaps that is not the issue here.

You don't feel any shifting at all when slowing down? The dealer told me its just how the transmission is and some other owners said as well. I'm envious of your transmission lol

My transmission is also jerky in Sport+ (which I think is expected because the transmission is wanting to be aggressive for spirited driving), but quite smooth for the most part in Sport. I might call a local shop that is AMG certified to verify the TCU upgrade, as Merc likes to avoid fixing stuff lol I've noticed. They tend to act dumb so they can focus on making $$$ on customers that are out of warranty.

I really think it's how our transmission is built when in Sport +. I think Sport + is ready for track mode haha.

Any update on this? I noticed the harsh jerk from 2nd to 1st coming to a dead stop. Unless I shift manually down to 1st before the car stops.

Looks like you have a FL. My 2019 did this at first, but it went away on its own. I had to let it adapt to my city driving. It now stays in 2nd until I've come to a fell stop. If I'm still moving a bit it stays in 2nd gear, so for brief/rolling stops it doesn't downshift to 1st. It took a few thousand miles before it adapted. Don't remember at what mileage, but my first 7000 miles were mostly German Autobahn, so city driving was a bit rough until the car arrived in the USA and I did more city driving. Also there were several campaigns for the AMG Drive Unit. The 2019 and 2020 models were incorrectly coded from the factory, So make sure your car had all the updates. I've gotten some ECU updates as well that seem to further improve the transmission.

Mine does this as well. Roll to a stop and it jolts into first. Dealership found no problems but my dealership is not really good so who knows. They say it's up to date.
