social media has definitely driven people off traditional forums over the years and onto Instagram and other social channels. I think it’s more so car forums are becoming “old school” and obsolete as there are many more eyeballs and active users on social media.
In my opinion, forums are a much better arena for sharing information and helping out fellow enthusiasts. Social media seems to just be for people trying to show off what they have and isn't really conducive to advancing the vehicle platform.

Me too I will always use forums over social media the only reason I post my build thread on the Instagram is because there wasn't much interest on this site, the sponsor threads (like bankrupt mode carbon and ninja benz guy) pushed my thread down into the abyss.
But I always come on here at least once a day to see what the veteran owners are up to and try help out new owners if I can.

I had a 2018 c63s for about a year (love the CCB on that car). Ending up selling it during covid and now went to a w024 platform. I found that platform to be much more to my liking. So much that I now own 2 w204 c63.
