High mileage 2017 C63

Wanted to get your input. I’m looking to buy a 2017 c63 with 43k miles. CPO, new tires and brakes (pads and rotors). Plan to daily drive the next 1-2 years, about 10k per year. Is this car going to be trouble? will I be getting fault codes all the time , not sure of the quality of the MB at this mile range.

That is FAR from high mileage.. and no, the engines are solid, as long as its been serviced..

My girl has put 47K on hers in less then 2 years... Rock solid..

43k for a 2017 car is within normal range I would say. You are running out of factory warranty and with CPO there comes extra 1-year warranty. So for you, only half of the time will be without warranty.

I have only been driving my for couple thousand miles from around 20k miles since I got it, and it's all good. I have seen similar posts asking for reliability of the car, most problem we had were coolant leaking caused by road debris hitting, and engine misfire caused by bad fuel. Other than those, the car's pretty robust.

yea , basically if you do the oil changes (on these cars I would do them every 5K miles) then the engine is solid.

Thanks for the replies so far!! I not so much worried about engine but about all the other systems, sensors etc that could present issues, warning lights and be a nuisance. Maybe the MB of the older days were like that and not so much with this current generation.

there are little things, like these engines DO NOT burn oil, so most of the time when you get the "ADD OIL" ,its most likely the oil level sensor ... ( a indy shop should do for about 2 bills )
Have fun with it.. they like to be ran , keeps things in place.

Some people buy these sports cars and then put them up in a garage and or dont drive them like they were designed too, and then wonder why they have issues. These engines, car, etc have parts that are lubed, and such, that need to be worked to keep them in good standards.

You're fine, that's not high mileage 🙂

These engines are damn near bulletproof and won't give you any worries at all. It's just the other little annoyances like coil packs, brakes, tires and general maintenance stuff that might come up before anything else but apart from those things, you're solid.

I would say read this thread and check the car for this sound before you commit to buying.

43,000 = High mileage?!?! 😆 That's great.

Had to double check to make sure I was logged into the MBWorld forum, and not Ferrari Chat.

It's the bottom pulley. Has yours got louder? It will get louder over time and your belt will start squeaking in the morning. Had that sound on mine and got the pulley and belt changed.

It was noticeably loud during a cold morning but for some reason, now I don't hear it anymore. When I took it to the dealer and mentioned it to them, they said that it is a normal sound =/ Mine is a 2018 under CPO, so I assume I should have some sort of warranty coverage till 2022.

Never ASSUME anything.. dont be shy to ask in detail and or get a written response..
And be sure too ALWAYS get them to NOTE, and or Document that you brought it in for sound/issue, as so if this happens to crop up again, and your out of warranty, you have a leg to stand on that it should be covered, as you brought it in prior and was not corrected.

I have a 2017 with about 43k miles. I have only owned the car for about a year. The previous owner did an amazing job taking care of the car. I have all the service records. I run it pretty hard and I have had absolutely no issues as of now. The only thing I have had to do is brakes and rotors. Engine is super robust and very strong. I think you should be fine with those miles. You will also have 7k miles before your warranty is up so I would just take to the dealer before the warranty ends and have them double check everything.

Nah, 100,000 miles would be "high mileage" when shopping second hand, but even then, mileage doesn't matter with these engines. If these cars are maintained, the M177/78 won't let you down. They're tough.

Very common to see these cars for sale in Europe with way over 140,000 kms (85,000 miles).

Just the way it should be. Good on you for driving it and not worrying about the mileage. I've done almost the same as you in a year. I always find any excuse just to drive mine 👊

I had the exhaust rattle before(The rattle snake noise on acceleration and deceleration). They replaced my flaps under warranty and it fixed it.

I'm at 70k on my 2015 and it's had DP's/tune since 30k. Everything except the rattles is nearly perfect.
