There are many threads about it, Yes, many did. Yes, it changes the sound at low RPM as exhaust valves are 100% open.
PS: lately, with the valves open and in comfort mode at low RPM slowing down I get what I would call mini "pops"..maybe more like burps.

On facelift C63s (stock), I can hear more rumble when car is standstill, but that is about it.
Once car starts moving, difference between running EVM vs. stock car in Sport+ mode not too noticeable.
However, I recently got catted downpipe. This matched with EVM is really good.
Personally, I wouldn’t recommend spending $600 on exhaust valve controller on stock car.
If you plan to get downpipe in the future, then just get it now since Renntech has black friday discount on it.

Honestly if you're pre face lift (not sure if fl one's ever got made) and not going to do downpipes, just do the AWE simulators for 50 bucks. The exhaust will always be 100% open without being able to close it, but on a stock exhaust it won't be too obnoxious.

I got one maybe 2 months ago and installed it on my 2018 sedan with PE (obviously). I think the sound is great in comfort and at low speed. Makes driving around slowly much more entertaining. Also sound is different tone with 100% open valves, maybe a tiny bit deeper and more raw from outside. When in Sport and Sport + I think it’s louder across the rev band. Maybe it’s just me, but I think it makes a difference in spirited and slow comfort mode driving. The more I use it the more I like it. That being said, I don’t run open most of the time (30/70 closed/open) because it’s my commuter and frankly I don’t need the attention running around town.
pricey but fun, comfort or sport modes. I think you’ll like it unless you’re looking for a ton more volume. As people say, it adds volume at idle and from 0-3000 rpm mostly.

Does anyone have a facelift C63S with secondary cat delete and the EVM? Curious what this combo sounds like? Really trying to steer myself away from downpipes. lol.

I just installed one on my 20 Coupe with 6300 miles and now the flaps rattle at hard acceleration which makes it sound terrible. Tried the grease fix but it starts to happen when grease dries up. Will try another higher temp grease

I suspect I might have this as well, as I hear a bit of a flutter type sound under hard acceleration. Is that the sound you’re hearing? I didn’t come across this being an issue here on the forum, hoping it’s not exactly a common one as I did not think there was an adverse consideration to make before getting this installed!

I am going to bring the car to the workshop to get it checked out but wanted to check if there was some easy diy fix before bringing it down.

I’ll have to read the forums a bit more to see if there are any other fixes.
funny this is, I never noticed the fluttering before I got the ASR exhaust valve module. Seems like the module has triggered the valve to become loose? Was that the same with yourself?
