CONTROL ARMS - NEED HELP

Shipped my OEM controls arms to CarBahn on Monday to have the camber adjuster eccentric bushings installed. Just got them back and having a hell of a time getting the arms back in. I didn't need to remove the stabilizer link to remove, but maybe it needs to come out in order to get the bushing through the stabilizer link at the right angle. Anyone have expertise in this area?

I'm super excited about the camber adjustability but also not quite sure how the bolts get adjusted once the arm is reinstalled or whether the arm would need to be lowered again which seems unorthodox.

Appreciate any thoughts, suggestions, etc.

I've been considering these, so I'll be _very_ interested in how you resolve this and how easy it is to adjust the camber. I'd like to be able to (easily) add another degree or so of camber for track days but then (easily) set it back to stock for non-track driving. Everything I've looked at for a 2016 C63 S sedan looks like it'd be a royal pain to do the adjustments. I'd love to be wrong, on this.

It'd also be great if you could post some photos and/or comments about the ease with which the arm was removed.

I was able to get both arms reinstalled this morning. Removal was a little less involved that install. Ended up needed to disconnect upper wishbone from the knuckle to align the strut to the control arm.

Car definitely needs an alignment but already a positive change to steering feel. I ordered a set of flat Allen keys from Amazon last night. I’m thinking this will work just fine for loosening the 6 eccentric bolts.

Plan is to have two marks on the bearing. One for track and one for daily driving.

I have KW V4 coilovers on order and now that I’m familiar with how the suspension works, will tackle install myself and will try to post photos of process.

Here’s a picture of how the eccentric bearing sits installed and torqued.

Went for an alignment yesterday morning. Unfortunately the control arms need to be released from the subframe and stabilizer link in order to adjust the camber. Obviously time consuming given trial and error when dialing in desired amount of camber. I'm running -2.5 deg. in the front and -2.0 deg. in the rear. Going to VIR for a weekend next month and will take tire temps to assess performance of this setup and adjust from there if needed but felt this setting was a good compromise between daily driving and track days. Wish it was easier, e.g. camber plates...

Received the outside temperature sensor and now the temp is showing correct. And it fixed the no heat issue I was having.
