2020 C63s blackvue dr750x-2ch dash cam Parking mode
Just had a blackvue dr750x-2ch dash cam installed (hard wired) in my 2020 c63s.
When the car is turned off, the parking mode on dash cam is automatically enabled. How ever it does not stay on for very long.
The Dash Cam has been setup to shutdown (whilst in parking mode) when the voltage drops to 12v.
The longest it has stayed on, in "parking mode" is around 3 hours, I was told I should get around 8hrs. I tested when the car battery was fully charged, as it was hooked up to a CTEK charger. I removed the charger, then waited to see how long it would take for the camera to shutdown.
When I look at the UB values: when car is on it is at 14.5V and when I turn it off after about 30 seconds it drops to 12.5 - 12.1V. With these values I am not sure where they are measured at.. An as they are on the limits of the shutdown parameters of the camera, I just wonder if the camera sees 12.1 or with resistance etc it see less then 12V hence the shutdown
Is this normal?
should parking mode stay on longer?
Any help/advice would be great.. Thanks!

I am running DR900X 2CH with Cellink battery.
20mins of drive time gives you 24hrs of recording in car park mode.

I have DR750 running in 2 of my other cars but on car battery. If the car is parked in high traffic area, record time is between 3-8hrs. Whereas if it's parked in the garage overnight, I've noticed Blackvue is operational until the following morning

On my DR750 I am lucky if I get 3 hours in the garage with Wifi and leds turned off (trying what I can to increase park mode).
Maybe its an issue with the Car Battery not holding charge? I will check with the service department and see if the can test the battery

Cellink is definately a great investment. I am guessing you're running Power Magic?
Intially I did some research and across posts stating that Power Magic is not ideal for 63s . I vaguely remember there was some issue with the car battery.

I am not using a Power Magic Pro, the camera dr750x has a voltage monitor built in.
yea looking into the cellink battery.. I just thought I would get more the 3 hours..
BOOT FUSE (Acc Power)
Drivers side connection (Always on)

1) in parking mode, in my instance, took my car @3-5 min to goto complete sleep mode, so the HUD would cycle down, this would trigger the motion detection in parking mode, which would then re-wake the car, and then the cycle kept repeating itself.
Tapping into the main battery (rear) vs the front battery (passenger side floor board) is a MUST if you attempting to go direct, but 10000% use a dedicated external battery for these cameras.. I used 2 of the blackvue battery packs that recharge while driving.. I am looking to swap them out for space reasons here soon.

correct, I did the same research on mine, and the main issue is the resistance, and the fact that our cars take so long to goto sleep, and shut down.. and I found that depending on were you tap in, and even with the Power Magic it would cause problems.. like:
