Great News! C63s V8 Confirmed for MY2022
Sorry if this has already been posted. From all my research, it seemed the consensus was that 2021 was the final production year for the C63 V8. Today, I got some good news. I called 3 local Benz dealers who all confirmed the current FL model will survive for what will likely be its final year. Gone is the sedan and C63, only the C63s will remain. Apart from a few paint color and option package changes, the 2002 will largely resemble the 2021.
One of the dealers told me they were already sold out of build slots. The other two had plenty left and invited me to pay hem a visit. I was emailed the 2022 order guide. Base MSRP TBD, but I was told it will be around a 2-3% hike. I’m glad I didn’t buy a 2021 yet as I’ll be making my way to Benz later this week to stake my claim on 2022. I’ve attached a few pages of the order guide.

Correct, 2022 will be the last year of the current generation (W205) C class coupe and cabriolet.
2022 will be the first year of the next generation (W206) C class sedan in the US.

This is my only concern. Do I gamble and hope the 2022’s go into production as planned without any major delays or scoop up one of the remaining 2021’s? Tough call, but I think the 2022’s should be ok. The one silver lining I see is that the sedan and non-S models are being dropped so I’d imagine they’re gearing up for a big production run on the only model that’s left.

I just saw your post in my other thread. It would super suck if I have to wait 6-8 months and have my car show up without all the options when I could’ve grabbed a 2021. I’ll talk to the dealer tomorrow and at least confirm they 100% have allocation. The dealer I’m going to use is probably the most reputable one in town.

I saw that throttle house mentioned how they got to test drive a e63 because the buyer who ordered the car didn't get the car with the specs (performance seats), so he refused delivery. Seats included in the global shortage supply?

oh interesting, yeah at 14:49 in that video they explain, I guess what the dealership explained to the guys, that the original buyer refused delivery because it was missing the performance seats. Perhaps just dealer trying to spin a story on why an e63s is sitting in their show room.

Yep, that, too. I'm curious if they finally figured out their thermal management. The Model 3 Performance with track mode still can't complete a single lap at the Nurburgring w/o the battery getting too hot and the car reducing power.

Well, the W205 (sedan) is done, but the C205 (coupe) and the A205 (convertible) will go on for at least another model year, but getting one configured to spec might prove difficult. I sure hope that's not your only reason you bought it. What does it matter if there's another model year? Also, keep in mind the coupe and cab came out a year after the sedan.
