I am tempted
But if this is intended for a weekend/fun car, I say go for it!
GTS when the timing is right would be my pick.

The main thing I've noticed with the older GT S is that their dashboard leather tends to shrink and unglue. That could cost $3k to repair or $7k for a new dashboard! Prod all around at the dash leather to make sure it is firm against the dashboard...if there is any spring in the leather, it's probably shrunk, unglued and lifted!
I wrote 5 or 6 pieces on purchasing and owning my GT S. You can read them here if you like. I really like the car and find it a lot more analog and special that some of the competition. There's great chassis and steering feedback, and it gives a wonderful sense of connection between driver and machine.
The main drawbacks I've had with my GT S is that it is a bit stiff and tight. Also, my car has a few cabin rattles.

Thanks!
Yes, I compared to the 992 because that's the last bonkers fast car I drove before on my favorite road before my GT S purchase. I have to say that the 992 seems faster and more daily friendly, as it has back seats and is slightly softer comfort mode. But the GT S is a lot rarer, visceral and visually compelling!
I've never owned a white interior. My red interior cars held up fine with regular cleaning and leather conditioning.
BTW, Vroom and CarMax sell GT S too, and have great warranties available if you want some insurance.
Good luck!

I will keep looking and not pull the trigger. Worry about the white, that it is an early model year, and found out its listed by a none MB dealer who can't offer certified.
