Pricing…

I came across 2019 with 13k miles… the seller wants 80k. Is this a good deal? What should I be paying?

can someone check this VIN and see what the msrp was? 55SWF8HB7KU314633

thank you

No, not a good "deal" at all IMO. You can get a new 21 C63 for high 70's to low 80's.

That’s what I figured…. I was trying to do some detailed search for the msrp with all options were but so far no luck. I was going to say, if it were to be about 65k-68k fair pricing…

I am biased, so not a big bimmer fan. They are good cars, I just never cared for them. When I was looking for my C63, I was also looking at the CPO's at first. I found a few, mostly Black (which I didn't want). Most had 25+ K miles on them. I wanted 19 and up for the 9speed. But after a while, it was apparent that for 10-15K more, I was in new car territory, so I found a C63 optioned out exactly like what I wanted for 78,395 in 1 of the 2 colors I wanted (Silver iridium Metallic), so I decided to just go for new. It was 2 states away, but my local dealer brought it in for me. I just had to give them a deposit. The silver with the Night Package and forged wheels speaks to me!

Do it. M3s, everybody and their grandmas drive an M3 or M4 because you can lease them for the lease price of a c43. C63s, you don’t see them that often at all and there’s a reason. Leasing them ain’t cheap. Aside from price C63 has the glorious V8 biturbo, enough said 😆 The sound is the best in class!

I had w204 C63 and loved it… sold it and went to M5. After few months I regretted it and bought a E55 then after few months I bought Porsche Panamera turbo…

all different feels… I then went to f80 M3 and recently I have been itching to get back into AMG. I found this 2019 C63 AMGs and I and trying to decide… Options wise I think it’s moderately equipped….

It depends if it's C63S or base.

I JUST picked up a 20' C63S for 72k with 8k miles - got REALLY lucky. Selenite grey metallic but it has the ugly 5-spokes which I can switch out, I was looking at a silver one from 2019 that was my EXACT SPEC BUT it had 30k miles and a good amount of service visits that I questioned. The 2020 with 22k less miles and 3k more was a tough but easy choice.

You can get a base with 5-20k miles for 65-72k fair deal

For an S with 5-20k miles you're looking mid to high 70s.

New car wise -> a lot of dealers are charging 5-10k markups depending on if you're local or not. Dealers aren't getting much new inventory of SEDANS...

So it's a tough time. I got REALLY LUCKY. But I had to compromise on rims, color and dash (it has the wood grey which I don't love but I wanted CF)

Don't look through 1 dealer either, talk to multiple in your area (if you have multiple). MBUSA will shows cars "available" at the dealer closest to your zip you put in, but in reality, they more than likely don't have that car in stock, it is at another dealer within a couple hundred miles. Also, I used 3 separate dealers to get my car. First one gave me the "handy" and told me everything I wanted to hear about finding a CPO, but he kept sending me a 2018 with 49K miles on it he wanted to get rid of-no thanks. Second one said he didn't have one and couldn't get one, really? Guess he didn't need any business. So I asked him well then why does MBUSA say you have one? He was like uh, ah, uh----

Last dealer, and ironically the closest to me, said sir, I don't have that car here. I know MBUSA says I do but, I know where it is and I will see if that dealership is willing to let us have it. Next day he emailed me and said it was mine if I wanted it, he just needed a deposit to bring the car in from NJ to MD and he had to decide which one of his vehicles he had in stock he wanted to trade for the C63. Like Zach is saying, tough times right now and dealers have little inventory. It will only get worse. I did find plenty of C63s' but I didn't want black or the Track package and the C63 in Silver had everything I did want, so i too got lucky.

MBUSA will always show some in stock just to get you looking. Funny thing, when my car showed up at my dealer, it immediately hit their webpage as "In Stock" but SOLD pending delivery. I then went back to MBUSA's site and low and behold, they had my car "available for purchsae on line" at my local dealer. Then you click on it and it takes you to my local dealers website with a picture of my car with "SOLD Pending Delivery" across it. MBCLICKBAIT! They used my car to attract local folks near my dealer once it got there. My dealer said he has had multiple calls on my car since they brought it in.

thank you for your input...

I wish I had luxury of being able to search multiple dealers... but I live on a tiny little island and my selection is limited. I could / have been looking at west coast and possibly thinking about shipping the car to the island, but that's too much hassle.

Random question tho... did Carbon ceramic brakes come standard on the C63s?

No, its an add-on option...expensive to service.

Well, it comes down to what options it has. I'm guessing you are in the US, so that's 80k USD. Not sure what the sedan tops out at, but a fully loaded S coupe is over a $100k. My 2019 coupe was just shy of $100k w/o HUD and CCBs, but all other options including the carbon exterior packages. Have the seller send you the Monroney sticker, so you can see all the options and the MSRP. The used car market is pretty insane at the moment. I'm guessing the seller is trying to take advantage of that.

Here's a better VIN decoder that gives you a detailed options list, but strangely it doesn't find a vehicle with that VIN.

Yeah it’s definitely a seller’s market right now. I have a deposit on a 2021 s coupe, eta is 4-6 weeks. My dealer is across the country, and was the only one who had a diamond white on order with the options I wanted. And even then I had to compromise on black cross spoke rims instead of silver, which I figure won’t be too hard a fix. My sales rep told me I was lucky I put down a deposit when I did because they’re getting calls left and right on the car, and that it’ll be their only 2021 C63s they’ll be getting.

I am picking mine up tomorrow finally. Since it got to my local dealer 4 days ago (brought in from 2 states away), my sales guy said they get 2-3 calls a day to buy my car. they have it on the second floor in the display room. It is getting to the point, finding what you want will be like finding a unicorn soon! Glad I bought mine when I did! Viva Bi-Turbo 4.0L!

Congrats! Are you picking up a coupe or sedan? Post pics when you get a hold of that beast!
