MSS Lowering Kit not correct!!
Hi guys,
I'm situated in Sydney, Australia.
I went to EA European Autotech in Sydney to install an MSS kit imported from the UK by the Australian importer.
After pulling the back end off, Derek found the rear springs don't fit. They the height on the car was exactly the same. After taking many photos and sending the photos to Australian Head office they agreed that they were incorrect even though the box was was marked correctly.
The UK manufacturer insists that the parts are correct when they are clearly not. We are awaiting reply from them.
has anyone had issues with the MSS Kit? Or has anyone installed such a kit??

No experience with them but have read numerous issues with them on another car forum (think it was a vw forum from memory) where product received was not as advertised and very poor after sales service. In short, some of the people who purchased said that mss did the blame game etc. when issues came up.

Guys I decided to take a punt and go to Heng's Garage and try again with the MSS Lowering kit for my C63S. 2nd time, the wrong parts! Had anyone on this forum installed this kit on their car??

Crester this isn't my 1st rodeo. My RS3 has the same kit so I know what I'm talking about. My RS3 looked lowered when we did the job. There was no gap to the guard. The C63 is the same height as stock. I can put my fist through.
in settling, we're talking about 1-2mm not 30-35mm! Understand? There is a major problem. They are the wrong parts. It's the 2nd expert mechanic that's it's happened to.

Sorry but did you come here to fight? Because I can give you one but prefer not to.
The facts are that I went to two expert mechanics. Both only do these type of installs, all the time. They've both been around for many many years, both told me the same thing! Personally I've installed suspension on most of my cars so yes I do have a little experience and understanding on what issues pop up with these things.
On my C63S, it's different from all the other times I've installed the suspension. When set to the lowest setting, and the car is lowered onto the floor from the hoist, it should sit very close to where you set it. My RS3 has exactly the same system, and when we took it off the hoist, it sat practically where it sits today. It settled maybe not even 1mm. The C63S when came off the hoist, sits at the stock level, yes we measured it. It's not normal.
I'm not here to fight with people, I'm here to ask if anyone has used the MSS kit to lower their C63S. That's it. I hope I have clarified everything above.

The MSS springs did this on the G80 m3 as well, except for the front. It provides a very mild drop and folks have had to modify it to get it low enough for their liking. The springs will settle some, and MSS quotes more selling than others (Probably 5mm). People on the G80 m3 forum have been modifying the perches to make the car go lower. All of that said, I'd stick with KWHAS for something like this.
