Help! Rear brake pads won’t retract from service menu

2015 C63 S. Went into the “Brake Pad Replace” menu and selected OK. Then I get a message of “Conditions not fulfilled. Retry with OK or Cancel with Back”. What am I missing here?

It's been a minute since I've done mine but I think your parking brake has to be released first. Is it?

Yes, figured that out but the sequence cycled back on its own (while I was working on it). It must have a timeout period or something. Now that piston cycled ALL of the way out. Any ideas how to manually get the piston back in? Does it rotate clockwise/counterclockwise??? Really screwed here!

OK after lots more trial and error and searching, I found this video which seemed logical:

I got the actuator off and am rotating it clockwise from the back now. However, it does not seem to be moving back in as expected. Wondering if it is off of the threads. Has anyone every tried this? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Unfortunately I don't have any recommendations to offer but it's weird that happened. When I did my brakes I retracted the parking brake through the menu and it stayed retracted until I finished the job and went back into the menu and returned it.

The parking brake also might need to be disengaged.

After watching 146 videos and reading countless posts which didn't pertain to this exact issue (which I was having also), I FINALLY discovered the answer! Not only do you have to have the doors closed, but also the trunk and hood. Otherwise you'll get the "Conditions Not Fulfilled" message. I hope this helps other members!
