Uneven tire temp concern

In my 2021 C63s I routinely see the passenger front tire 20+ degrees hotter than the driver side - regardless of weather and driving habit. My fiancé swears she hears the brake caliper squeak when applying the brakes however I don't. Curious if ya'll think this is a potential span calibration issue or possible sticking caliper? My car has 3200 miles on it - no odd smell (like a stuck caliper), no excessive dust as compared to other wheels, no obvious excessive heat from the wheel. For reference, the starting cold pressure on each front was 41, with 36 on rears when I pulled out of the garage.

Mine is the same but haven't had that much of a difference like yours, front passenger usually a couple degrees celsius higher than driver side. I've always thought it's probably just from the oil coolers in the front bumper.

Thanks - I wondered if there could be some outside influence on the sensors (such as engine components) -- that would be bad design though.

Edit - I just double checked to assure there is no uneven rotor wear or scoring - everything looks just like new, I have serious doubts it's anything wrong with the caliper and lies with the sensor or potential external influence.

The tire-temp sensor/read-out is the air temp inside the tire. C63/Ss have a radiator by the passenger-side tire that delivers more hot air into the tire well than the same-positioned driver-side radiator (left-hand drive cars). Though your temp difference seems a little greater than I normally experienced (measured, no temp readout on that model) on my 2016 C63 S, at the track, that's likely the reason.

This assumes that your tire wear looks good ... i.e., for street driving, you should have relatively even wear across the width of the tread and no scalloped edges, especially not in the middle of the tread -- well, unless you're flying around corners on public roads. If you have alignment/toe-in issues that's causing the tire to constantly scrub, then that would also contribute to the heating and excessive tire wear.

Thanks for the thoughts on tire wear - I didn't even think to look since I have only 3200 miles. I snapped some pics - the tire read looks good to me. I should say that it's hot as hell today and I drive with a heavy foot when conditions allow....couple that with the external heat source (radiator) and maybe that's the issue.

Hey, your tire pressures look too high. Should be going off the pressures on the back of your fuel filler cap and not door jams.

Believe a "typical" setup should be shooting for around 38/33 and can adjust slightly from there. Mine at normal operating temp is around 38-40 front and 36 rear.

Also like others have said the temp reading is normal and holds true for other AMG models as well (E63, GT, etc)

There has been plenty of discussion on tire pressures, especially with the rims that I have - I'm right where I need to be on cold pressures (and they are in alignment with the upper band of the gas door sticker)

Oooh didn't realize you had those rims

Believe those have had cracking issues when not inflated enough... I stand corrected. Glad you've done your research... cheers!

This is normal. As mentioned there is a radiator on that side and it's also been said that the exhaust runs closer to the right front wheel. It's typically between 10-20F higher than the left. Just ignore it. It's not actually the compound that's that hot. As said, the sensors measure the air temperature. Tire pressure is debatable I guess. I run fine with those wheels on 33/32, but YMMV. They are not as fragile as some people make them out to be, but if you hit a bad pothole they are low profile and can get damaged like other similar wheels. Granted they are lightweight, so perhaps they are not as sturdy as a heavier wheel, but that's the trade off between lightweight and heavy.
