The wait is finally over! Given the current circumstances, I can't complain at all with how things went. From the day I put down my deposit to delivery at my door, it took just under 60 days. It helped that my car was a dealer build, thankfully it was about a 90% match as far as the options I wanted. And the 2 options that I wouldn't have ordered had I built my own (night package & black rims) are really growing on me. I purchased through MB Farmington, Utah. They were one of only 2 dealers at the time that had a 2021 diamond white available for sale, and one of the few dealers that were willing to sell and ship to out of state clients. I also got almost 2% off MSRP, and the customer service has been outstanding throughout the entire buying process. My car arrived at the dealer on 07/29, however I opted to get PPF and tint through the them which delayed the shipment while work was being performed. Also, the paperwork had to be FedEx'd back and forth which delayed funding for a couple of days. All in all, it went about as smoothly as I could expect and I couldn't be more pleased.

At the time I was in the market for a C63s coupe, I was on the fence to whether I should buy a 2021 or build my own 2022. Thanks to superswiss who saw the writing on the wall for the 2022's, he strongly suggested I grab a 2021 as my 2022 might never get built. So a special shoutout to him!

Here are some pics, unfortunately the car is pretty dirty after the 1500 mile trip from Farmington, Utah to Houston, TX. As soon as the weather clears up I'll give the beast a good wash. I went with 30% ceramic tint all around, 70% on the windshield.

Good deal! I found mine 2 states away and my local dealer brought it in for me. MSRP, no additional mark ups or charges for bringing it in. Same deal as you, I got 90% of what I wanted and the color I love in the sedan model. I specifically wanted the 4 door. I have a feeling in a couple of years if I do decide to get something else, we should get pretty good trade in value. I plan to keep mine stock and just enjoy it as it came from the factory. I am still floored for what I got for my trade in-made it so easy to do the deal!

Massive congratulations, looks beautiful!! Always great to see another TX C63S. I used to be based in Houston but I am back in Dallas now. I'd recommend Sewell MB West Houston for service - they're so courteous and fantastic. And they have great cookies. My advisor was Patrick and I liked him but I'm sure everyone else there is just as good.

You got a great deal too in this market in a great spec. White on black is an AMG classic and it just looks so aggressive. This is how I would've spec'ed mine if I didn't want to get Black on Black. Also, get yourself an ASR module / Renntech EVM quick - that's something I wished I had gotten on Day 1.

Enjoy!

I really appreciate everyone's well wishes and kind words, you guys are the best!

It's so crazy, My journey started with me looking for a mid $40-50k range d/d. I first started looking at a used 2018-19 Infiniti Q60 Red Sport, which at 400hp and 4.5 0-60 it was not really a big downgrade in power compared to my M6. After a 24 Carmax test drive on a 2019 Q60 RS, I just couldn't justify dropping $40-50k into a car that looked so cheap when a used C43 could be had for almost the same money. After looking at a few C43's, I just wasn't feeling the car from a stance perspective, and also the fact that's not a real AMG. Which then led me to the C63, where I almost bought an immaculate 2018 PFL obsidian black w/14k miles...it was at listed BMW Madison for only $65k and they were even willing to give me $500 off to close the deal. In today's market that car would be going for $75-80k. I figured if I was gonna spend $70k on a car, why not just go all the way and buy brand new which is where I ended up today.

I'm really looking forward to discovering all the neat features and drive modes on this beast, it's going to be an absolute blast! By this weekend, I plan on swapping out the stock tires with PS 4S 305 R / 265 F. If anyone's interested in the stock tires which will have less than 100 miles on them, I'll be posting them for sale. Thanks again everyone!

Thanks I_love_ICE! You also got a great deal just being able to land your sedan @MSRP. I will also be keeping it stock, except the tires which I plan to swap with wider Michelins. All the threads I read up on the subject of wider tires seem to indicate that the car really should have come with 305/30/20 R 265/35/20 F from the factory.

Thanks Xec! I did at times second guess myself on the color, as black/black looks so damn evil on the C63 coupe. I love both colors. But in the end, the diamond white won mostly because I already have a black car and I wanted something different. Irridium silver was a distant third choice as well.

The first thing I'm going to do after I swap the tires is install front/rear dash cams, after that I definitely plan on getting a Renntech or ASR module. I know all about MB Sewell, I have friends who've bought cars from them and service their cars there. It's also the closest MB dealer to me so most likely I'll be using them for service. However, I am a little annoyed with them because while they were one of the few dealers that was willing to take my order for a 2022 (when I was still on the fence between a 2021 or a 2022), after a few emails back and forth the sales rep just stopped responding to me.

Thanks! Yeah they do look like twins, yours is a beauty. I test drove a PFL in this color with performance seats, they were asking $70k w/26k miles on it. It didn't last very long!

Welcome to the fun - congratulations on your new 63S - looks great! I also did 30% ceramic tint on my windows, however didn't touch the front windshield -- how is the 70% working for you?

Thanks, I appreciate it! Your video was awesome, it really got me liking this car even more. Do you mind sharing the reason why you're wanting to sell it?

I haven't driven it at night yet, but during the day I can't even tell it's tinted. I'll update on how the night time visibility is when I take it out for a spin tonight.

Good info - I would be interested to know your thoughts regarding the windshield tint at night. Oh, and my car isn't advertised "for sale" - however everything is always for sale at the right price, so if someone wants to give me much more than what I paid for it - show me the $. That goes for the 43 too!

I hear you about everything is for sale at the right price. I don't plan on selling my 2010 M6 coupe w/48k miles, but if someone came by and offered me an insane amount of money I would definitely consider it.

Regarding the tint, everything is fully visible at night but you can definitely notice that the windshield glass is tinted, unlike driving during the daytime where it's like looking out of an ordinary windshield. In hindsight, I probably should have gone with 80% windshield tint instead of 70%, but I'm ok driving with 70%. The rear windshield is another story. I can barely see anything out the back at night, as the mirror dims everything. I'm going to try and cover up the dimming sensor on the mirror and see if that helps.

Hey want to make sure I'm reading this correctly - when you say you tinted to 70% do you mean 70% light transmission or 30% light transmission - how are you referencing your tint? I can't imagine doing a windshield 70 or 80 % darker than the sides and rear. I have Llumar IRX 40 (which meters at 35% -- we have tint law in NC) so 65% light transmission.

Gorgeous beast you have there!

70% = 70% VLT (visible light transmission)...70% of light is allowed in, 30% blocked. The darker the tint, the lower the VLT % number. So my windows and back windshield are all 30% which blocks 70% of light and allows 30% VLT. I believe my dealer also used Llumar IRX ceramic tint as they went with Llumar on my full frontal PPF.
