Has any one ordered from mode carbon before

Hey everyone so I ordered a spoiler for my C63S sedan from modecarbon in November 2021. I’ve yet to get any real updates from the guy he just keeps giving me stupid unrelatable answer and reason to why I still have yet to get my order or any reall update on what state of process it’s in and won’t give me a refund when I’ve asked for one. I’m just wondering if anyone has order in this time frame I have and if they’ve gotten their order or not and if they have then how’d you get him to send it you? Also if anyone knows the mode carbon guy and can help me out with getting my order sent to me?

Thanks not happy reading through that thread you sent me. Doesn’t sound like I’ll be getting anything from him! Has anyone gone to the cops or lawyers or anything to try and get it sorted out?

I assume you mean November, 2020, not 2021. That was well over 8 months ago. If you paid via cc, most credit card companies allow charge-backs up to 90 days from the date of purchase, some of the good ones will let you dispute up to 180 days after a purchase. It won't hurt to try disputing after this long, but don't be surprised if they tell you it's too late.

ya I’ve tried going to the credit card company and getting my money back but their saying it’s to long ago to do so unfortunately

If it's Amex, they're great. MC or Visa? You're screwed. They don't and won't get in the middle of a dispute like this. PP? Got a case. They'll investigate and refund you 'most' of your money. Those are your choices.

You should open the prior threads that you closed because you said " he is a known" person !!! BS.. he is a SCAMMER !!

Still taking peoples money and giving excuses !!

I mean at some point there is culpable negligence on the admins / mbworld part, many many many people have come forth and stated they have been wronged and stolen from, but they threads get closed down, and they continue to support the ADVERTISER (modecarbon) as they pay to advertise ... your allowing a scammer to continue his game and con..

I would call PayPal, and or your cc company, and if you have emails / text / etc showing him stating he was sending or not refunding, etc etc.. then call them and claim FRAUD, just like 100's of others have done.
When I spoke to a Fraud investigator from Stripe (who he used) they spoke volumes on the amount of complaints.

This dude is a scammer, first he is in accident, then hospital, then jail, then has a drug issue, then wants too threaten " defamation " because people started calling him out on it. It's nuts.. I even know people that went to dudes house and demanded money or parts !!
I have to dig up the AG I spoke to about this a while back, but this dude needs to learn a lesson .. and I think he will soon !

A couple weeks ago, Mode Carbon posted a FedEx tracking number in another thread for OP’s months-long order. OP didn’t understand why it was being shipped to Toronto when his shipping address is an hour away in Newcastle, ON. So not sure if OP actually got his parts or not?

Mostly ll of our customers that have been out their orders have been refunded.

Please for the love of this forum stop taking words out of context. Owner stated he got into a car accident in which no police report was associated on file. He is state mandated to take medication and is no way using drugs illicitly.

Lots of companies were effected by Covid, and LOTS of GOOD companies went out of business due to COVID.. but you know the difference between them and you ?? YOU KEEP taking peoples money for product you dont have !!

You act like the fact that you had to refund a chargeback was a GOOD act by you ?? !! NO !! you should NOT be allowed to have another merchant account for credit card processing, as you are continuing to take payments, knowing very well the product is not in your hands to ship.

Then you come on forums and social media making all these claims, and you cant even keep up with your own lies !!

I am going to SAY this another way, because I know you are going to respond with some BS, or you are in a mental hospital or another car accident or what ever...

IF YOU STOP TAKING PEOPLES MONEY for items you do NOT have, you wouldnt have this problem... And do NOT say, well I need the customer money to place the order for materials so I can make the order etc etc, that (1) is illegal by CC standards, and (2) is BS.

Its understandable that you might lose your business or go bankrupt, and that is sad, and sucks , but just like hunderds, thousands of other companies - there are solutions and options and things that can be done to restart or get assistance, but taking funds from customers, and then coming up with excuses is NOT acceptable.

Two things come to mind when reading ModeCarbon’s replies:

1) You should post on your website that lead times may be much longer due to XYZ. It’s a very easy update to make and it informs the customer before placing the order

2) I’m surprised that if one person in a business is MIA then the whole business tanks. Why do you not have a contingency plan to back you up to keep business flowing?
