my 21 glc 63s have the same noise and I figured it out to be poor quality gas. Since I am in california we only get 91 octane gas so I figured that would be the first place to look into so I put in a bottle of octane booster from royal purple drove it around a a bit, to no suprise the knocking sound went away. I also only go to the same shell gas station near by so I also figured out who the culprit was.

Is this the noise you guys are referring to looking to buy one but has this sound if anyone can help me out, I’d highly appreciate it. 2017 Edition one with 65k miles. Sounds like something with the chains but I’m not a mechanic.

Engine sounds normal to me, some ticking is normal on these cars, I brought it in to the dealer for ticking and listened to a few other C63s and they all sound the same. However, based on your video, I'm assuming it was a cold start because I could hear some slight pulley/bearing noise but those are easy to get replaced and not that expensive
