C63 W205 Clutch Issues

Hi All,
I am looking to buy a 2017 C63 with 30k miles, but there is an issue where the car is slow to pull off in 2nd gear in comfort mode. I have been told that the wet clutch needs adjusting. Has anyone had any experience of this issue and has anyone had their wet clutch adjusted?

Thanks all.

My car slips a little before it grabs when first started. I think its normal because this is my 3rd amg with the mct and they all did it.

If you're referring to when the car is cold and you try to give it some gas to go and it doesn't (keeps revving up and not really moving much), that is quite normal with these cars. It took me a while to get used to as well.

The slipping clutch when cold is normal especially when reversing.

Thanks all for the advice. I have not driven the car yet as its a long way from me, so gathering all the information first. The comment regarding the clutch needing adjusting came from a Mercedes Technician found during a Health Check, so I would like to say that its is a valid source. My question was related to the fact that has anyone ever had their wet clutch adjusted and what would cause it to require adjusting?
I know what you guys mean regarding the slipping when cold, my old W205 C63 Estate used to do this also.

Thanks all.

The 63 starts in 2nd gear in comfort setting, so that is normal - sport/sport+/race start in 1st gear. As far as clutch slipping a bit, common when the car is cold. If it is doing it a lot when the car is warm, there may be a bigger issue.

yes you can do the clutch adjustment/adaptation with Xentry diagnosis,
but the slipping will remain.

Clutch wear may eventually require adjusting the clamping force, but I would assume that the TCU compensates automatically. But the 2nd gear start is part of the issue. It causes the clutch to slip a lot, and wear occurs whenever a clutch slips. If the previous owner(s) mostly doodled around in comfort mode, then the clutch may be worn more than usual. IMHO, the 2nd gear start was a big mistake by AMG, and thankfully they came to their senses with the new 9-speed MCT in the FL and now it always starts in 1st gear.

2017 c63s drop top
The first thing I do when I get in the car is put it in sport. The 2nd gear starts are painful period.
