fake rear bumper vent removal

Bought carbon flics and it seems I need to remove the fake vents for them to sit flush. Are they just held in by clips on the fake vent itself? Did a search and found a few threads in the c class forum for pfl sedans on how to remove them. Just want to make sure pfl and fl are the same before I go ahead and not to break anything.

Search again. I’ve done mine. There’s no aftermarket part that will fit the coupe unless you bought the eom part.

Are you talking about the FAKE SOLID plastic grill looking thing inside the rear side vents ?? If YES
they are held in my clips, and you can get access to all that from the wheel well.
If you purchased the GOOD flicks, they are SNAP IN as well, and NOT 3M tape.

Does anyone have pictures of the "GOOD flicks" rear vent insert and a source for purchase. I would be installing them on a 21 C63 cabriolet. I have the carbon fiber packages so I also have to be concerned about trying to match what I already have. Thank you!

Yep those side vent things. I've seen those “good” flics but only in plastic though. The carbon ones I bought have been molded to fit with the fake vent taken out.
Thanks for the tip, was planning to use fishing line and a trim tool to pop the vent out.

I took the fake vent out as well, since these clip in...
with the Carbon ones , depending how they were made, you might need to "screw" or hard mount them on, I have not seen any yet that are "GREAT" or close to the "plastic ones" like I put on.. (that is why I went with just black vs carbon)

Send pics when done :-)

Will post some pics when I get time to give the car a wash and install them.
In the meantime here's a pic of the flics, I think they are pretty well made.

Found some time to install just now. The flics looked good in photos of cars with them but I kind of got mixed feelings about the look. Fitment is probably about 90% accurate so can't really complain. Sorry for poor pics cause it's night time here.
