I believe the letter used to mean the amount of labour hours for the work. Now (and more recent MBs) I guess all it means is either A or B. like A4 or B4 for example (I think?). The service with the letter you mentioned might include spark plugs and automatic transmission fluid on top of the usual air filter, engine oil and filter plus the "bunch of checks". That being said, I am probably wrong.
There are only A and B services and they alternate, and in addition certain other items are due at certain services. I found the following, but I think it is slightly different for FL and PFL, because the FL has different rear differential intervals now. I had my second A service done earlier this year and they changed the rear diff fluid, so I think on the FL that's now every second A service. So yours is due for the second B service, which besides oil change and inspection will include transmission oil change, replacing the air filter, and rear diff oil change (if PFL), and potentially a brake fluid flush depending on when you had the last one done. Service A/B typically include cabin filter and windshield wipers, but I think the latter only if you have a prepaid maintenance plan.

Attached (3 pages) are Required Service Work sheet for either mileage (thousands) or Years that was givengiven to me by a MB Service Advisor last April.
Next week I have an appt.for my second Service A. I will include wiper change that is extra.
He recommended, when the time comes, to purchased a Pre- Paid Maintenance package for the 4th year, 5th year and 6th year. Noting the 5th year includes Spark Plug change is over $1,000.00 and 6th Year is full Transmission Service is also expensive. This package can be purchased that day on the 4th Year Service.
I purchased my C63s coupe in April 2019 so I have time to decide.

I don’t think you’re saving much on a pre-paid maintenance. This is another way for the dealer to make more money. Every dealer have special services coupon all the time.
