That said, it's standard fare to order cars before they are launched in the US or even in Germany. Black Series models are on lists just based on assumptions that they will be built eventually. I know people that had the AMG GT Black Series "on order" for over 5 years. But of course, there is no actual order, it's just a list. With or without deposit it is also not binding and based on the goodwill and relationship with the dealer.
Naturally salesmen will also call and sell non-existent cars because it helps with allocations and to not have people look elsewhere. Doing this with C-Classes is a new one though but maybe sign of the times or just being in a smaller market...
I am guessing 60K ish from the dealer. But across Canada I can not find a 19 C43 under 40K KM. Mine has 20.
And it has every conceivable option short 1 or 2 minor pieces.
40K -60K C43's are going for 68-70 ish, or at least that is asking. We have a 13% HST transaction tax that I'll save with the trade in equity so I'll have to do the analysis on a trade in V market sale.
I know that the C63s are ridiculously priced in Canada. Saw a 2015 C63 non S at a dealer in Toronto on Friday for 85K. You could have bought that car 2 years ago in the 60-65K range.
The market for coupes is insane at the moment!

Wow that's crazy! I know the market here seems nuts too. Just a quick search on Autotrader.com, has many 19-21 c63 coupes for 80-100k.
By the way, your Maserati is sweet!!!

There is some aftermarket availability for the GT Coupe parts but not these obscure window gears. And these are not the type of vehicle that winds up at a wrecking yard where you can source them.
May get it spec ed out by my Maserati service manager and either have it 3D printed or custom machined. My Maserati guys are also great to deal with.
We bought the first Stelvio sold in Canada and they are very appreciative... However my wife totalled the first Stelvio in Canada when she was side swiped on the way to my son's hockey practice one month later!
*** Italian Cars!
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
My SVT Cobra low K rag top is even sweeter.
Its an interesting story. I bought it from a guy who had it done to the 9"s by Ford racing... He came in to a stupid amount of money after both his parents were killed in a small commercial plane crash on the way from a mine from Norther Ontario to Ottawa, his Dad was a mining executive.
He was a teenager at the time but his guardians sued the air provider for 10s of millions and won. He was an only child and walked into 100 mil or so at 18. He ordered the Cobra and almost immediately had it sent to Ford Racing, in Michigan I believe, and had it blown, re geared, new exhaust, shift kit, lowered you name it.
He then put about 15K KM on it, got bored, bought a cigarette boat and a helicopter and sold it. I came across it within 10 minutes of it hitting Ebay and was on the road to see him within 2 minutes of talking to him. I paid full ask, he had no idea where to price it and I thought he was well under market... I felt terrible after I heard his story.
Super rich kid but pretty lonely deep down. He just bought stuff never got attached and sold it for peanuts.
I actually took away a life lesson after hearing what he had gone through...Money ain't everything.

If you want to see what they C class AMG's are going for in Canada just search autotrader.ca. same as the US auto trader, except that the web site is circa 1958.
It is as slow as Sh*t!
Actually I just found a 19 C43 convertible, puke white, weakly optioned and a sh*tty interior, 47,000 km - 80 Grand
Mine has 20,000 Km, not a convertible but a better colour combo, brand new (last Friday) Michelin Sports and much more heavily optioned. Maybe I should be asking 85 Grand...It seems ludicrous but that is the current market. literally the only mark on my car is slight curb rash on my passenger front wheel from some stupid a$$ Monaco style twisting Burger King drive through exit.
When I started talking to Jay the AMG guy I was thinking maybe 55-57 K on the open market, and 50K on trade in. I had no idea coupe prices had gone ballistic.
Its ridiculous man...
The fact that MB has no coupes on the docket for the foreseeable future, maybe forever, is driving the coupe prices through the Fu*king roof!
In what *******g galaxy does that compute?
WTF? I searched all of Canada and the car is 8 minutes away being sold by my AMG guy Jay.
WTF?
A few minutes ago I retired after 30 years in the corporate rat race.
Had a pharma biotech that I have been chipping away at 18 years hit the big time with an enormous South Eastern US supply contract, shortly after an FDA approval.
Not sure why I'm telling you guys...probably because I don't have the ***** to tell my wife yet...
Gonna get back into car collecting!

They just landed the dialysis machine contract for a company called ARC Dialysis, the largest, by far Dialysis provider in the south eastern US across 7 states...By a country fuc**ng mile!
Its is the biggest single Dialysis deal to go down in the US in about 6 years.
Spectral is a small Biotech that is loaded with top end Harvard educated surgeons and research talent from the University of Toronto and the University of Pittsburgh. They FDA approved and commercialized the Dialysis technology of Infomed of Switzerland in return for North American marketing rights for 25 years. Their technology is 7-8 years of gruelling FDA trials that lie ahead for their nearest competitor.
The company is so far off the radar it might as well be a gas station. It is 85% insider held by 2 large global pharmas, several High Net Worth Investment funds, Medical Professional pension funds and current and former executives.
The share price barely reacted, literally no media picked the story up, but the news releases are there if you care to look. Nobody even knows to look. This massive deal didn't even register with the investing public
I am one of about 20-25 retail investors. I own a sh*t ton that I have acquired over 18 years of regulatory BS, dilutive financings, insider greed with option grants and FDA hurdle after hurdle.
But they hit the **** jackpot, and this deal is number 1, the first of many gentlemen!
Newly retired,
Pete
The genius doctors that commercialized this are not particularly market savvy and overlooked the necessity of US investors being able to read news…
many of these same doctors may be unaware that they are a publicly traded company…
anyhow go to www.Stockhouse.com for all the news, website links a bunch of crazy excited North American investors!

Outside of collecting and owning classic and high performance cars, Pharmaceutical investing is my passion...

This one is essentially dead in the water anyhow.
What of Mercedes going full electric on all models in 3 years? I saw a release stating Mercedes in EU will be electric cars only in 3 years. Sure we can all buy diesel generators and tow them behind the car for road trips.
To mention, I didn’t like 4.0L when it was released then later saw the benefits of the engine and W205 platform I decided it was the car I wanted. I was going to buy W204. Rebuild and upgrade the engine. Then I realized W205 would do everything I wanted with a slight bit of modification. That dollar for dollar W205 is a better car. M156 with upgraded internals and supercharger would cost the same and be an older car.
For me the electric car or even hybrid is not the driving experience that I’m looking for. For whatever reason, when I bought 2016 C63 Sedan I was thinking I’m going to keep this car for the rest of my life.
Despite the differences of the varying models- Everyone should like the most expensive variety but I like the base model C63 Sedan best. I’m supposed to be in love with the electronic differential in the S but I wanted the mechanical limited slip differential. Larger front brakes are an attractive option, ceramic discs are a real wow option but wasn’t available- Or were they? I googled the AMG ceramic brakes and to get an actual figure instead of pulling a number out from my backdoor. The lowest price I saw for GT63 4 door is €23510.26, which includes 21% VAT. I’m unclear if tax or import fees apply to US purchase. I bought ceramic brake pads for the AMG Silver Brakes and Zimmermann Z Coat Rotors and called it good. I might go for Brembo 2 piece floating discs some time in the future. For the look of it when the car parked. Although the $20K ceramic discs or the floating discs or Silver 240mm vs. Red 280mm makes no difference stopping the car. Larger brakes cool quicker, which is better for track driving but Silver 240mm discs are large enough, perform well enough to not experience brake fade. Switching to ceramic pads got rid of the dust and grinding noises of the factory pads. I recommend swapping out the OEM pads for ceramic ones.
I pulled those rear fenders so the tires don’t rub. I get a lot of grip with these tires. Throttle hesitation made it feel like there was something wrong with the car, it was the traction control kicking in. The previous owner probably did think something was wrong with it, that is why they didn’t drive it much. Then bought another car and didn’t drive this one for a year before selling it. The wider wheels basically fix the car. I have the rest of my life to build a custom wide body since I’m thinking I’ll never sell this car. It was mind blowing how low miles it had on it.
Modded Twin Turbo Lamborghini beat me by 2 car lengths on a roll. No tears from the loss. I like to mess with Corvette owners- The WTH kind of Mercedes is that look on their face is priceless every time.
All in all the new 2023 C63 AMG is all about the options. Like a flux capacitor so you can go back in time to buy the V8 Sedan. Unless its true and the V8 is back. I imagine the V8 models will go to whoever is 1st in line on preorder. Everyone start pushing and shoving for a place in line.
