I am thinking about selling my 2020 C63s coupe with 18k miles on it to get a compact SUV.
I have another high-performance car (2022 BMW M5 Comp), so I think it is good idea to get at least one fuel efficient car with bigger trunk space.
I purchased this car brand new from a dealer about 2.5 years ago. It is almost fully optioned out without ceramic brake. I believe MSRP was around $95k, but I got it for $87k.
Anyway, I went to KBB and got following estimated trade-in value.
I usually look at the lowest value that KBB gives as the value that the dealer/carmax will offer.
Even at $75k, that's still not bad for this kind of car that is 2.5 years old (about 15% depreciation).
Am I looking at this value correctly? I thought used car value has been recently tanking really bad, but below estimated price is surprisingly good.
The car market is all over the place right now so it very hard to get used car values. Your best bet is to search on auto trader and see what other 2020 C63s coupes are listed for in your area, or try to obtain the MMR (used car auction) value.
What value you get will be very stealer dependent. With the current economic situation, some stealers are being a lot more conservative than others so expect a wide range in offers.

That’s weird you got a KBB value on your 2020. When I tried to get one on my 2021, I got this. It’s not a temporary glitch because I tried again today and got the same thing:
Not sure where you’re located, but in my neck of the woods, Carmax is the biggest lowballer out there. They were by far my lowest bid, coming in a good $12k lower than my best offer. I ended up selling for 14% depreciation from my pre-tax purchase price. Considering how badly the used car market has tanked, it seemed like a very fair offer. I hope you got a good price if you already sold.
The Carmax stores in my area are pretty close to most trade in dealer values.
but I’ve always had pretty basic cars.
they prob don’t sell a lot of C63 so don’t really want them and will offer low and if ur desperate then it’s a deal

Zip code matters. No comps in your area I'm guessing.
CarMax beats all the dealer out here in dmv area. Its actually really painful working with their service departments on a trade in. I dont think im doing that again at bethesda euro motors.

I tried another model year. It works for 2020 C63’s and older, but not on 2021’s.
just took my 2018 C63s to CARMAX last week ($86K sticker) and their offer was within $300 of Dealer Trade (cash + tax incentive, which worked cus im buying another car). To determine price I used autotrader, cars and bids, BaT and literally got the number i wanted within a week. My car has 25K miles on it too - so low mileage - dealer jumped on it quickly -
