Broken, towed to the dealer and in limbo...
Came out from the store (Saturday evening) and was met with this error/warning light. Tried everything as far as restarting, inching forward to get it to release, etc.., and nothing worked. Alas it had to be towed which was a white knuckle affair. Especially the unloading at the dealer with the boards sliding underneath it. I was able to get it inside the dealer because they were still open (sales) for another half hour so I lucked out there and got it parked in the service bay for the weekend.
Upon getting home and researching this issue I was hoping it was nothing more than a defective e-brake actuator. Turns out on Monday at the end of the day they had diagnosed it as one of the pins from the brake module isn't sending power to release the actuator. Evidently this brake module is a part of and/or built-in to the entire mechanical part of the brake assembly upfront. Think area of brake booster in older cars type of thing. There was no part number for this in the system so they had to take photos of it and and some numbers and send it to Mercedes which they did. So now I'm waiting to hear back from them on that.
It also looks like some major surgery replacing that whole assembly which of course concerns me as well on a basically brand new car. Will keep this thread updated in case this happens to someone else or if it has please by all means chime in with your experience.

I think someone from this forum might have pressed your reset button on your dealer menu.
All kidding aside, sorry to hear, did you do any mods on your car?
Hopefully it can be easily fixed.

Dealer is still waiting to hear back from Germany about the part. Difficulty is the part isn't listed as of yet in the system. Unbelievable. It's not an actuator it's a brake control module that is built into the main brake/ABS unit. Apparently there is an output pin not sending the signal to release the brake from what I gather from the shop foreman. Tomorrow will be two weeks since it happened. I'm going to give it until Monday and then it's time to jump on the phone and get busy if you know what I mean. Will definitely keep this thread updated.

This kinda reminds me of my ‘21 with under 4k on the clock being stuck at the dealer for weeks waiting on a new trans from AMG. They had no clue what was causing the issue so they decided to just replace the entire transmission. Unfortunately, that still didn’t fix the problem. But at least in your case, they seem to know what the issue is and it’s only a matter of time before they ship your dealer the part.

I actually don't like taking loaners and being responsible for a vehicle that doesn't belong to me. Fortunately, I have another car to drive. This way there is an extra loaner for someone who might really need it.

Sorry I haven’t been on the forum in a few weeks. They never did figure it out even after replacing the entire trans and multiple software updated, that was the main reason I sold the car afterwards.
That sucks your beast is getting lemoned. Unfortunately I couldn’t lemon mine since the issues all started a couple months after the 12 month window expired.
