Entire process took almost six months. Won't bore you with the details. I've included a pic with the VIN as this would be a great car to buy. It was basically lemoned over a defective right rear brake caliper. Car is perfect. It was a $106,835.00 spec. My check was for the full retail amount, plus taxes, fees and the 10K ADM I paid. That was a very pleasant surprise. I guess from here it goes to Long Beach is checked over again and then put up on an MB Dealers only auction website. From there a winning dealer gets the car and will CPO it and sell it. Sucks because I think there were less non-final editions then there were final editions. Not to mention this car is no longer in production and wasn't available in 2022 either. Gone forever and I'm sad about it.
As an aside I have a literally brand new Renntech EVM I paid $620 for on this car. I'll sell it for $350 and cover rush shipping. Just message me if interested.

glad you got a full payout. Sucks you didn’t get the car you wanted from MB, but at least you’ve been made whole again.
if you wanna sell that module. I’d be down for 250$

Haven't logged in for a while and have a half dozen messages or so to buy my EVM. I didn't know what a hassle it would be with paypal as I don't use Venmo or any of the others. Apparently, paypal can give me a 1099 or the IRS and it's more hassle than it's worth to me. So it sits on a shelf for now which is less brain damage for me. Having an extra few hundred bucks isn't going to make me or break me anyways. Sorry for any inconvenience but gov regs has to make everything difficult/miserable it seems like.

just a heads up. Any and all PayPal transactions, if you’re forced to report. If you show you sold it at any loss. No taxes on it. I sold some high dollar items with PayPal and got their speech about the new law. But haven’t had a problem with it since it’s all stuff I sold at slight loss.

If the buyer pays you as a "personal" transaction instead of a sales/business transaction then you will not trigger a 1099 because it's not a business transaction.

Just an idea, but maybe it’s easier to just use Zelle for something like this? I can’t remember the last time I used my PayPal account for a personal transaction since Zelle makes it so much easier.
Folks use PayPal to ensure the buyer is at ease. Personally I would not use Zelle and just send cash. I have no guarantee, I’ll get my product or have protection.
side on the FB group was gonna cut me a hell of a deal in used c63S wheels. But refuse PayPal. So I refused the deal, no I’m not Zelle sending 1k and trusting.

Yes, then I believe there are higher fees and now no protection for the buyer. Personal transaction is giving money to a friend. Really no way around it and I don't want the brain damage overthinking how to sell something for a few hundred bucks.

Absolutely. Ultimately it depends on the full circumstances. For example you're a legit user on here and I would trust you more than the newbie. Total dollar amount also plays into it.
For example, I just bought a small accessory from @MBguy013. I just perused thru his post history and he seemed legit and not doing some long play just to milk me for $15.
