Hello any one had issues with clogged carbon catalytic i went to mechanic told me to clean in this car you have to remove the all engine and gearbox to reach any idea my car having and idle and smell issues after cheaking one of them are clogged
No, I never had a clogged catalytic converter. That shouldn't normally happen, unless you burn contaminated fuel leading to an incomplete combustion, oil or coolant leaks into the exhaust, engine running rich or something else not right with the combustion in your engine. You mechanic is right, the primary cats are way up in the engine bay and hard to get to. Should find the root cause for the clogged catalytic converter and not just clean it.

thank you yes it might be oil leak due to cam adjuster failure for a while last week i had to change all four of them and the stored codes removed so after that I got an cat code so i went to check it and it turns that its clogged i finally managed to open them from the hod and cleaned them

there is place specialist for catalytic carbon cleaning they checked them by the camer
a in the end cleaning went well from up pipe didn’t have to remove them and but them into the water machine as they do here and the car got much smoother than before
note: the pictures after the cleaning before one of the bank was fully white clogs

Hello again I need help with this issue im still having a check engine about the catalyst code p0430 and the car performance is not as it should be im guessing to need a new catalyst im just asking if anyone knows that is it ok to remove the converter for the bank 2 and leave the rest and bybass the sensor and any one know if the problem from the catalytic that behind the turbo or the one below i really need cheap best fix for it as I already have other parts to change
