Yes that's right..... Slug Syndicate will be having Slug Day this year again in fall at Famoso Raceway!!!!!!

Last year we had a great event with some of the fastest street cars along with some mean track cars. We had an incredible mix of cars from the whole spectrum. We had 5.0 Coyotes, Fox Mustangs, Camaros of all years, Cobras, Challengers, Chargers, Corvettes, GTR Skylines, Porsches, AMG Mercedes, BMW's, 300zx, Trucks and other muscle cars and incredibly NO HONDAS!!!

I am still working on details but it will be this fall at Famoso, the best damn dragstrip in So Cal!!! Sponsors and event details will follow but I wanted to give you all a heads up so everyone can be ready this year for another great event.
Sponsors can PM me to participate. I am also open to hear what are some things you guys would like to see this year so post up!!!!

DATE WILL BE SATURDAY, 8am, NOVEMBER, 17, 2012
Weather will be around 63* in Bakersfield that day, perfect for record setting passes!!!!

Send racing fee of $108 via secure Paypal https://www.paypal.com/webapps/mpp/send-money-online as a personal transfer to ssracinozzy@sbcglobal.net you can note is a group shared cost, but YOU MUST also send me your full name, car make, model, and year as well. As of right now, all racers must sign in before 11/01/2012 to avoid late fees, THE LATE ENTRY FEE IS $130. Of course that is IF theres still slots and the track guys allow me to take more racers. So don't wait till the last minute, I cannot save any spots untill the fee is paid.
Same rules as last year apply, all cars must pass tech inspection and everyone must have proper attire such as helmets, fire suits and safety gear.
The flyer is on it's way guys

meantime..... here are some pics from Slug Day 2011.

If 100 register i will give someone my spot and do my own rental with 20 people.

Malloy, I presume at least one lane will be prepped for slicks?

Both lanes will be prepped, but don't take my word for it, just ask if anyone had traction issues last year, and then ask them how many people broke their rears. The prep will be there, trust me, fastest pass was 6.xxx no issues.

Also, we had over 100 guys last year and the lanes were looked dead. I even started thinking if we should've let the cap go to 150. But 100 is just fine. Also at 20 cars, the fee would be 5 times greater than what it is currently, or so I understand.

Believe me though, most guys left before 1pm last year because they were tired of running.

The track officials do the tech

But they have been known to be more forgiving on these exclusive events

I flew out from Florida for this event only to be told less than three days before the event it had been cancelled.

No reason was given but perhaps you could advise here as I am sure a lot of people have the same question.

Tks.

Earl, any chance you may still want to try and set something up there on Sat? I was so hell bent on going, and am willing to front whatever $ it takes to keep the private rental on. Quite a few guys I know would gladly do the same.

Let me know if we can set anything up, even if it costs a lot more.
