JR, another stellar line-up! Had a chance to light up a My Father robusto and Trinidad belicoso for the New Year. Both epic smokes! Another cigar that lives up to the hype, My Father is a very complex stick. Nice aroma, great draw and a wonderful flavor. Full, but not harsh. Thanks to JR for the assist. I'd wish you a happy New Year, but it looks like you're already off to a great start!

For New Years I ended up having a Don Diego PLAYBOY. Churchill style Cigar. Recieved them as a Christmas Gift from a friend a couple days before and figured I would try them out. Had a nutty flavor to it. Would recommend.

+1 on those My Fathers...I've got a dozen in my humidor and I've been aging them for over a year. JR...you can't really go wrong with the Padrons...get a box of Exclusivo Maduros...you won't be dissapointed.

Had myself a wonderful Romeo Y Julieta Edicion Limitada today. Was a warmer day here in NY and had one while cleaning out all of the cars. Would highly recommend one.

Good to know! I've got 2 gift boxes waiting for me when I get back to Missouri. One of the best smokes I ever had was a RJ churchill from cuba...There used to be a smoke shop here in Bev Hills that stocked similar smokes (gold band), I should go take a look for them and see if they still exist.

Greetings, def love the Padrons, ABs, and Opus X, all very nice! I would like to get your opinions on whether to leave stix wrapped in the humi or not? Seems to be a lot of differing opinions out there.
Thanks!

Steve, you will definitely get different point of views on this one, but I prefer to unwrap all my smokes in the humidor. To me, there is something about the organic-ness of the tobacco wrappers nestled next to one another surrounded by Spanish-cedar goodness that promotes great taste in a cigar.
If your humi is large enough, like AMGfans, it's a wise move to keep them in boxes so you always have a point of reference when looking for a smoke. I actually write the date on the bottom of my boxes when they come in so I know how long they've been in my humidor.

You are right about that and here it goes. I prefer to have them wrapped inside the humudor. It seems to me it keeps the smell inside the wrappings instead of mixing others. I have (2) 150 count humidors. Writing the date on the box is actually a pretty good idea and I have never thought of doing that. May have to try it from now on.
