Warranty up in 1 month, advice needed...
I have a 2004 Renntech CL600 with 41,500. I tried to look into various aftermarket warranties, but it's diificult to obtain a decent one with the upgrades I've performed. So I will not have a warranty in 1 month after my MB 48 month warranty is finished.
My question:
Is there a way I can have MB change or fix certain things (that don't need to be fixed) before my warranty is up? I would love them to fix the ABC issue or other common problems that usually happen at 50,000+ miles. Any ideas???
My question:

You could look into an aftermarket extended warranty, but get a good one. Mercury is no longer writing V12's. EasyCare does, but look to spend around 4k for the TotalCare contract, and it will have several exclusions, including some expensive ABC items like strut hoses and high-pressure lines. JM&A has a good warranty product, but it is also very expensive.
Have you checked into whether MB offers a warranty extension?

Extended Warranty
I bought an extended warranty from AAAutowarranty for my 02 CL500 w/ 49,000mi and out of factory warranty. It cost me $3400 for the 4yrs. exclusionary type warranty which cover everything exept list parts, which I felt comfortable with the listed ones.

I was told by MB that there's no warranty available for my car because I did the ECU upgrade. I was told that there may be aftermarket warranties available, but they will try to get-out of paying if something big needs repaired. They'll claim that they weren't aware of the ECU upgrade and may tell me to go fu*k myself, which would really **** me off.

I too, had the same concern when my warranty was about to expire.
Back then, my service adviser allowed me to drop off the car for a final inspection and by gawly, the tech. was actually able to replace parts that had even the slightest leak.
As for aftermarket warranty companies, even though the dealership offers one of the best companies "Millennium", my service guy still advised against buying one. He said so simply because even if repair is authorized, many of these companies often substitute non-OEM, re-manufactured, etc. parts with OEM items. Not to mention the fact that most aftermarket warranty will charge a deductible fee every time when you bring in the car for service.
My mechanic also suggested the same, as he said even if the car really has problems, the cost of him buying used parts for me and fixing the problem is going to be less than having an aftermarket warranty.

Figure a way to get "Total Protection Plan" warranty written by Prizm Administrative Solutions Inc... 1 800 445 4065 Don't mention the ECU they can't tell anyway. My warranty covers everything but hoses and seals. Cl600 They are awesome $50 deduct and I have had at least 10K worth of warranty work done. Warranty was like $3500. Got the "supreme" plan. Do it before 50K.

Thank you!! I'll just take the car in for a final inspection and see what they say. Or maybe I'll just say that my ABC light comes on sometimes and I'll see if they look into it.

You're welcome!
I believe issues such as car not shifting smoothly, engine making humming noises, and suspension making funny noises are all legitimate concerns that you may bring up with your service adviser.
Make sure your engine mounts, shifting plates, belts, etc. all all in top notch condition. You should be able to get these items replaced under warranty if they're found to be leaking as well.
Good luck!
