I can't find the rear fuse box - anyone?
I want to access my "rear fuse box" because that is where fuse #70 that controls the Tire Pressure Control system is located on my 2002 CL500.
A call to the dealer led someone to tell me it was behind the rear seat - but no help in getting access. There does not appear to be a fuse box near the battery, and I pulled the trim around the CD Player, and there was no fuse box in that area - while I was there I made sure my Argus Bluetooth Phone system was plugged in (GREAT ADD ON - the BEST buy I've made, even at $800 bucks.)
So....does anyone know where the mysterious "rear fuse box" may be located?
Thanks,
JC
2002 CL500
THANKS!!
As I suspected, I pulled fuse #70 and was able to disable the Tire Pressure Control Module. Of course, the dash warning I had "REACTIVATE TIRE PRESSURE CONTROL" was replaced by "DISPLAY DEFECTIVE, VISIT WORKSHOP" - so, I still have not killed the Tire Pressure Control System, but at least I UNDERSTAND what's going on now.
Thanks again Carson.

For instance have you any fuse diagram? It's almost impossible to find and I have a big problem with my CL500 2001:
it's impossible to open the trunk and the oil cap...(but possible to close and open doors even if the little door button doesn't move and the door don't close automatically when you put it close to its closed position

thanks+++++
There is one inside on the passanger side of the front dashboard. The panel that you have to remove (gently) to get at the fuses, is visible only when the passenger door is open. It has dashboard, alarm, instrument cluster, cig lighter etc. Merc calls this the front cockpit fuse box.
There is a fuse box in the back under the rear passenger side seat. But when you pull out the bottom of the seat, you will not see it. It is under the seat, but it is accessible from the front of the bottom of the panel under the seet. Don't pull the seat pad out, look under the front lip of it.
Email me if you need to know the layouts, I have a little chart.
