Aside from the security issues there is a health and safety issue. Having an unattended car with the engine running is illegal here in the UK. With double glazing all round and heated/air conditioned seats and steering wheel in my CL I don't get the warm/cool your car argument either.

The problem would be bypassing the factory electronic key immobilizer.

Motorola back in the mid 90's was the 1st company to come up with a system that from anywhere in the world, as long as you had a dial tone on a phone, you could call and lock, unlock, start, disable your car. My father's company was one of the authorized distributors of this product.

You guys wanna guess when they stopped making it??? A couple of weeks after 9/11, Motorola received a cease-and-desist order from the US government. That was the end of that product.

Armenian. This was given to the Rubenid family, which ruled the Armenian Kingdom of Cilicia for most part of the Crusades, by the Pope. This region, which both sides of my family come from, is now part of southeast Turkey. After them, the Lusignans of France ruled the kingdom until the Mameluks of Egypt conquered the kingdom. The Lusignan dynasty used a similar coat of arms.

Very few systems that can be used on the mercedes with no problems. Google remote start for mercedes
2 years ago I installed remote startersd for a living and at that time there was no way to install one on the mercedes with the new security keys
but like anything, if there is enough demand some one will make it work and now there are companies that have bypasses that work
get it installed by an experienced shop, or pay the consequence's!

The only option that is out right now is by midcityengineering. This is pretty much the only option for Benzes with electronic ignition key.

does anyone know when DEI will be updating to allow for push notifications to get the same functionality as a 2 way pager when the pager is outta range.

ie; phone notifying you the alarm is going off when you're over a mile away?

I spoke to DEI a few months ago and they said the feature is coming, and is in the works. Just no eta...
