WTB Carbon Fiber Interior Trim for 2001 CL500
Can anyone name a resource for carbon fiber components for a 2001 CL500 ? I have looked all over the web and ebay and nobody seems to offer anything for the CL. I would like to change from the burl to a carbon fiber. Here is a pic of what I have now...

Tusabes..
If that was my only option, I think I will stick with the wood. Thanks for your suggestion though. I have a guy in Germany I am talking to now who is doing the carbon fiber for MB models other than the CL and in hopes of product development, we are gonna do my interior. I will post some pics...but realistically it will be mid summer before it is completed.

I have not. I would like to see it. How long is the life expectancy on something like this ? I got a quote to have EVERYTHING (steering wheel included)
...that is wood done inside for uder 2k so...that is unheard of ya know. This company already does this work on Porsces & Maseratis and has a pretty talented team building these components.

Big and Heavy 03 CL
I bought a huge roll of the Di Noc hoping I could do my interior and other things. It is a good material but very difficult to work with on objects that have a lot of contours. Even with heat it is not very forgiving.

There are many pros on this forum who can do a whole interior for a couple hundred bucks if you supply the material

Under $2000 for a full real CF interior, including install, is a good price.
DiNoc material and install would probably run you $500 or less though if you find a similar good deal installer.

i wonder if the dealership would sell the carbon interior out of the mercedes CL F1 model,
i also have been trying to get my interior done in carbon.. one BMW shop told me they can use the same material that the BMW M3 uses for there interior.. its a cloths based carbon material which looks nice on the BMW M3, he quoted me around 500 i think

MBWorld Fanatic!
I'm going to look thru my backlogs of email and see if I can get a hold of him again. If I can, I think he'd be a good candidate for the job, I was going to do the CL w/ him too but if I remember correctly he was doing this as a side gig and had recently gotten a real job. We'll see if this economy doesn't have him making cf in his garage again at this point.
The only reason I wasn't able to do the CL was because at the time I was driving it regularly and I wasn't able to find an entire set of interior trim from an 03+ 215 that wasn't ridiculously overpriced and I wasn't about to drive around w/o any trim in the car. The E class was much easier to source a cheap second set, that is why it was done first.
Anyway, enough rambling, if you like, look through my pictures and I'm sure you'll see a few shots of the interior of the E. You can search my statistics also for threads I've started as I'm pretty sure I documented the process as it was being done, so you can see how he does it. I'll post back soon.

I have been trying to find someone to convert my burl wood to carbon fiber for the lst 6 months. Please provide me with any input that you can and I would also like info on the new Command Center that you installed for the stock radio.

Whoever wrapped it did a splendid job. It looks close to carbon, but I just hate how the 3M tape feels. And when you scratch it, it makes that zip sound lol
This company Rau Autowood makes a CL carbon fiber kit
They can make it in black, tungsten and silver which is pictured. I like that, it's very unique. But they're insane, they want $5500 for it!!

I had an E46 and was going to try it once I found the lower steering wheel surround but it got totaled out from under me and now im CL55 shopping, plus there's these guys http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mercedes-W21...-/112073303999 but WOW it's definitely pricey !!!
