@biker well read codes with star. how do you find out what is wrong without replacing things? where should we look next I'm going to pull new coil pack back off and read plugs then check O2 sensor tip and try to look at CAT to see if its damaged. is there anyway to test the middle ignition module?

Go to your local independant MB shop with Star Diagnostic System (SDS) and talk to a tech, to find out exactly what the codes are. Because your just shooting in the dark, at this point.

cl600
the tech pulled the coils and looked for carbon i believe to indicate a short. he then did a test on the throttle body and determined there was a short in it. he also got a code for and replaced the accelerator peddle. there are ways you can check the individual components before you replace them. you have to know what your doing and have the proper equipment.

Roverron, those codes are all misfire codes for each cylinder on the left bank - cylinders 7 to 12. There is also the code for "multiple misfires". Misfires happen because either there is a fault with the ignition components, the fuel system has a fault or the fuel/air mixture is incorrect. As the misfires are not sporadic over all 12 cylinders but only located on the left bank then diagnosis should be concentrated on those componets associated with that bank. I would rule out a fuel realated problem as all 12 fuel injectors are on the same fuel rail. You say you have changed the ignition module on this bank so maybe not an ignition fault, although I would want to see evidence of a voltage/spark at the plugs on this bank.
The fuel/air mixture can be affected by exhaust gasses not being able to escape or a blocked air supply, check air filter for this bank and pressure check the exhaust before and after the catalytic converters. A crumbling honeycomb inside a cat can block the flow of exhaust gasses. Check vaccum hoses and PCV pipes for leaks/blockages on the left bank. Also check that the intake pipe between the MAF (not sure the 600 has one?) and the throttle body is secure, any leaks here will lead to unmetered air.
Roverron, you do not describe how the engine runs at idle and under load at the present time, probably extremely rough I would imagine! Are these codes old historical codes that have not been cleared from the ECU memory?

it runs a little rough at idle not smooth. pulled plugs they are not looking the best but they are not wet or carbon covered. i am using star to pull codes and try to check things. when the car was running i did a lamba test and left side front and rear was at 0.

just to let some know this was fixed awhile ago and it was the ignition control module. in WIS there are voltage readings you can take to find out if its the coil pack or the module that can save you $1K so check that or have someone qualified check it before you assume it is the coil pack.
