Other than paint and a tune, what have you done? What do you consider "Stage 3"?

I think I drove the car for about a year with the plastic engine trim sitting in my garage. It was my "weight reduction" performance mod.

Ha lots and lots of mods my friend

I got everything except the upgraded intercoolers. They require engine cover removal hence why i didnt do it. Let me break it down...

Stage 1 = ECU/TCU Renntech w/ added option launch control slip-dif(5k), Custom 3 pc forged rims, Grille
Stage 2 = UPGRADED to CL65 turbo's for more boost plus expanded lines, Eisenmann Full exhaust system
Stage 3 = Brabus Air Induction Upgrade and Widening(only found in germany), K&N filter exchange, CL65 cranks, CL65 oil pump, CL65 AMG Brakes and rotors

If thats not Stage 3 my friend then i dont know what is im running over 680 horses...
i stripped this totaled CL 65 for all the goods and got away clean....

Wow, that is a lot of work. I would ditch the plastic cover and go with bigger IC cores. With your mods, you need to get rid of heat more than you need the looks.

What exactly is the Brabus air induction? When you say widening, do you mean throttle body, or fenders?

This is what i got

Luckily my friend i went to college with was from germany and he found their germany exclusive air induction kit out there then shipped it to me. All it does is create larger intake hoses and widens it and then fills in gaps. By widening i meant the air induction hose has been widened. They put this system on the new brabus SV12 but als offer it for w215 and 216 v12TT cars.

"Brabus engineers have created a new air induction system to fit the remaining space under the hood of the S-Class. Combustion air is routed through a particular set of carbon fiber."

i got this part for about $600 plus shipping so about $700.

Your so right about getting rid of the engine cover for the IC's. I just hate to part with that fine piece of work. I might be able to link these brabus parts if you would like all i got to do it drop my friend a line...

Certainly more work than I expected...

When you say you upgraded to the CL65 turbos, did you just swap out the impeller wheels, or did you change out the whole turbo w/housing and exhaust manifold?

680HP is nothing to sneeze at. I'm at roughly 650 with just the ECU/TCU tune, on stock turbos. Even with the slightly larger 65 turbos, you're gonna have to upgrade your cooling system to reap the benfits. I certainly understand not wanting to lose that engine cover, but you're not really gaining much in the turbo upgrade without cooling. These cars pull so much timing when they get hot. Maybe instead of doing the intercoolers, you could do a larger heat exchanger, with a trunk mounted ice reservoir. That way you can keep the engine cover in tact.

I take it you pulled the whole engine to do the turbos?

That paticular car is a S600 it has our top mount intercoolers, billet turbo upgrade, and ECU/TCU. The custom fit 65 engine cover was massaged to fit by the installer shop, Atwood European in Arizona.

Turbo's were a b*tch

The entire turbo housing was exhanged, somehow my boy's body shop was able to disconnect and tilt the motor enough to complete the job. I dont know how he made it happen im sure there was way more involved that he didnt mention. The turbo's also came with a couple pieces from the Cl65 exhaust system but worked perfect with the eisennman..Your right i should ditch the cover because i have noticed the effects from the heat especially with all of my upgrades. I need to further modify the cover or let it go. The other guy mentioned i shoul do the heat exhaunger witht he ice box int he trunk which is a stellar idea!! On the other hand I got the bank to do the I.C. upgrades and its prob worth it. I got 680 at the rear fyi to speedriven as far as i kno might be a little more. My last dyno said something like that. My other friend is painting the fron RAD Support to complete the under the hood cosmetics. i will take pictues when she comes home...today!!! Again i can help anyone get this exclusive brabus part if they would like it def made a difference i could feel and hear believ it or not... I would love to post more pics you guys are the Sh*t. We should all link up at the track one day and shut things down!!!
If any of you guys are in the east coast area, i know lots of car people that will do this work for bottom dollar. i wouldnt have made all these upgrades possible without these connections. I can get everything done at 25% of whatever you guys might be or have payed. Just drop me a line fellas...
