CL600 in Georgia?
Hello everyone ,
There is a CL600 that I am really interested in in , CARTERSVILLE GA, is there any member there whos is close to that area who would be be willing or interested in checking it out for me ? I am in Miami , and from everything I see the car is worth it , but the seller is not near a Mercedes Dealer so I can pay for an inspection even thought they are willing ... if anyone is close enough to that area please let me know .
Thank you all and best regards,
Max

yes I think we are talking about the same one .. gorgeous color , low miles ...
except for the family E350 and R350 . this might be the first NON AMG I buy for quite a while .. but I have always though that the 600 TT are the only ones the blurred the line between AMG and non AMG .. and with an ECU tune hit 600HP that is a plus ...the hardest part is the long distance sight unseen thing.

Yes I knew about that .. I a trying to arrange for the MBDealer in Atlanta to do that for me ,so they would have to drive the car over to them .. not a great deal about 50 miles I think .

Yeah, I did. Sorry.
To actually contribute, I bought mine mostly sight unseen. It generally pans out ok, if you get a good deal. Expect some small repairs, but generally less than buying a cream puff through a dealer. Unless you live in LA or Miami, you're generally going to have to take some leap of faith because they are so rare and hard to find locally.

In the past ive purchased and shipped an SRT6 crossfire where i only saw pics online. Luckily a member of the forums went to inspect it for me. When it arrived the mirrors had a few scratches, the front window had some sandblast damage, and there were a few hardwater spots etched into the paint. But other than this the car was perfect, id give it an 8.5-9. My best friend purchased 2 ferraris sight unseen(minus pics) and both were 9's when they arrived. They did have a couple of small dings or scratches on the bumper but the seller was willing to cover the repair.
So i guess in conclusion my point is dont force it, the right deal will come along eventually. Just dont expect 100% perfection on a used car. Do you due dillegence to check the background of the vehicle and then thats really all you can do. I flew about 300 miles away, checked the car out in person and drove it back home, and i couldnt be happier. I hope you find the right deal for you!
