HELP- KEY WONT WORK IN CL500
GOT IN MY CAR - STARTED ENGINE-- WILL NOT SHIFT-- SAME KEY I USE EVERY DAY -- HELP

Step on the brake lights and see if they come on...if not then it can be a fuse like mines

YES THEY COME ON- SPARE KEY DOING THE SAME THING

WHAT IS THE SOLUTION ???

There is a common problem with the reverse lockout arm braking (it's plastic). There are several posts addressing the issue on this forum and on Benzworld. Replacement part avail on ebay for under 100.00

HELP
sorry--- BRAKE LIGHTS COME ON WITH IGNITION OFF-- KEY OPENS DOORS AND TRUNK BUT WILL NOT TURN IN THE IGNITION--

Your first post said you started engine and couldn't shift. Later post says key won't turn in ignition? Your vehicle has keyless go?

i am experiancing both problems- first it would start but not go into gear-- now ignition will not turn
however- remote does open up doors and trunk

looks like im taking the bus to work????
