Well I did it!

I did the Speedriven ECM/TCM upgrade, sent it off Wed and put it in this A.M. OMG this is SICK. I mean SICK. Next is my 2011 Cl 600. If these car's were 4-matic's Ithey would be planted to the pavement. What an experience!!!!! I blew the doors off a CTC V coupe and a Corvette ZR1 today. I thought I was going to have a heart attack. The torque is so unreal that I actually have to use the comfort mode for normal driving because if I use the S mode it jerks my front teeth out of my head. UNREAL. I recommend it to everyone. Man if a CL63 and CL65 were upgraded it would be one of the sickest experience of a lifetime. I'm telling you, its actually TOO much power!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah there is and it is just a little too much. Unless the rear end is made into a posi it isn't safe and honestly, if you don't have a Hydro-Electric suspension, you are surely asking to meet your maker. These should only be on cars with suspensions as exclusive as the ones on the S and SL ,CL 2000-2006 and the CL 600 from 2007 up all with the Hydro-Electric suspension. Air-matic isn't a good enough system nor is the basic type for this much torque, plus the other transmission (unless its an AMG version) will soon see its death. The 5 speed in the CL and S class and SL are really the only transmissions that can harness this type of torque. They just weren't designed for this much madness. Porsche 911's are just about about the only car I would trust besides these with this type of power and I almost don't trust these.

True! You can only have too little traction. There is no such thing as too much power. 625+ hp was not enough for my CL600. I thought it could still easily use another 200 or more hp.

I did the 700 hp Tune

Way too much. 625 would have been enough. If you had a 2003-up then 625 would have been enough 2000-2002 was not a good engine to begin with. The guys said that it also depends on your car, the miles, the condition etc. I wouldn't want any more power than what I have. I know when I am at my limit. I have to drive it in C mode so it wont' jostle me around. Too much is too much. I don't have to prove how big my Johnson is. I just wanted more power from the get go, I didnt expect this kind of raw power.

You know your limit and that's fine. It is too much power for YOU but not for everyone. Frankly, it was not enough power for me. The need for more power is why Speedriven has an 800 and a 1,000 hp upgrade.

The AMG version of the M120 V12 was still in use until 2010 by the Pagani Zonda. It produced 670 hp in the 2010 Zonda. I would not say it was a bad engine at all and if you ever heard a Zonda with this engine you would say it was an amazing engine.

Glad you like it. This is what I am trying to tell people in Toronto - you get more than just a boost in HP and torque, it is a whole new experience

Igor.

What ever you say. If I were doing drag strip racing that would maybe call for more speed and a different rear end but I'm fine and with tires being about $350-$400 each I'm not trying to ruin a tire ever month or so. I like the power, it is enough for me. I'm being very careful not to have an accident like the idiots on You Tube. Like I said, I have nothing to prove, I can beat about 99.9% of the cars on the road so that makes me content. A ticket here in CA for going over 100 is 800.00 and the cost of your insurance will triple. So, with that being said, I'm fine where I am. If you need to prove something have at it.

Egor your so right

It is a very fun experience. A really nice upgrade for NO money. Sorry, Igor forgive my typo. I'm glad I went with your company in TX. I was very happy with the whole experience and the really fast turn around and NO down time. Plus it was plug and play.

Sorry, I should have read all your posts. Can I ask you why you did the tune on the first place if you think too much power is a disadvantage in your case ? BTW - set of GOOD tires will fix the handling and tire spinning issue easily...

The Michelin Super Sports are perfect, the car is perfect, it only has 7k miles I don't drive it. It is just in my collection I did the tune to see. I like the tune, I'm happy with the tune and I plan on doing my 2011 CL 600 as well. Thank you for your interest.

That was my experience too. Just don't drive like an idiot and used good tires. I never had a problem.
