Vehicle will not go out of park.

2000 CL500 had hi pressure line replaced due to failure. Drove it to cleanup for detailing.
They had it 2 days , now vehicle does not want to turn over when I turn the key.
Ignition was acting up from time to time. Sometimes you had to turn on and off a couple of times for it to turn over. ( only every so often it did that.)
Finally started but will not come out of park.
Any suggestions?
Back to will not turn over. (Maybe ignition switch finally died.)
Wondering if detail got something wet when they shampooed carpet.
Please help.
Thanks.

You can guess all you want(ignition module\gear selector module\starter relay0 but you will never know until you get a scan and no I doubt the marshmellows got the car wet to cause the issues!!

Thanks

I just thought, the only thing that changed is I got a Complete Detail .
Maybe in the process got spray or water , forced air, wiped something in center console area or when shampooed carpet I noticed the rear carpet cover for fuses on rear passenger side laying on floor board.?
There it sits looking great in the detail bay.
It won't turnover the engine, dash lights up , all lights, just ignition does not turn engine over.

Every once in a while it would not turnover at first turn but by 2nd or 3rd it started, it never gave issues with going into gear.
Now, not turning over , (tried both sets of keys) and when it finally started it would not go into gear.
No longer turning over.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I don't think they damaged your car .

but i bet you have an older battery and they left the doors open for so long during the detail , your electronics didn't go to sleep , and the battery became too weak .

Get a new battery

Thank you for replying.
Makes sense.
I have power , dash lights up , tried jumper box no luck.
My battery is a Mercedes battery and has ( "New" 5/2016) written on it.
Will try a new battery see if it helps.
Again thanks.

Replaced battery and nothing. Please help.

I connected a memory saver or jumper box to OBDII to maintain memory and pulled out battery to have it charged.
Put battery back in after charging and nothing , have lights ,windows go down .
Sunroof does not work, no brake lights! Ignition acts dead , dash lights up but does not turn over.
Noticed my clock is not reading time.?
Any suggestions?
My vehicle is stuck in detail shop bay.

you didn't answer this

hook the battery up directly to the post under the pasenger carpet as shown in the video
if there's still no power , it's probably the prefuses are corroded or blown , they are located under the passenger floor as well

Floor is probably wet, got other things wet, caused damage. Tow the car to the dealer or a competent indy shop and prepare yourself.

Update! Vehicle won't start.

Update!
Towed vehicle to shop.
5 amp fuse blown under passenger rear seat.
Replaced fuse still nothing , hooked up scanner and vehicle was not communicating with 2 modules.
Had them communicate and started right up!
$125 plus tow.
All is good now.
Thanks to all that responded.
