03 cl600 soft close assist inop

Gentlemen,
The "soft close door" or whatever you call it LOL doesn't work on any of my doors including the trunk. Normal lock and unlock functions all work as they should just don't have the assist feature working. I do hear a little hissing sound for a few seconds coming from behind my left shoulder. Reading all the threads, sounds like a leak is causing the entire soft close assist to not work. I've only owned the car less then a week and i'm totally blown away by the technology that was in this car 15 years ago. Someone correct me if i'm wrong, but it sounds like a removal of the driver door panel to find the leak is needed. Hopefully finding and fixing what sounds like a leak will resolve the system inop issue. The pump is working for a few seconds as its supposed to as the air leak sound seems to be the vacuum pump doing it's thing.
