Cl600 ESP Rough Running





Guys

I have an ESP fault on my 2003 cl600

idle is 1100rpm and misfires if you touch throttle pedal

NO misfire codes are stored only the following as shown above

Sounds like a bad throttle body. Remove it and make sure nothing is stuck in there, if not, replace it.

Checked it nothing stuck in it and have ordered one now

Throttle body replaced still same fault present

throttle code returns as soon soon as it’s cleared from memory

Then your fault is somewhere in the wiring between it and the engine computer, or the engine computer itself.

I shall look at the wiring ECU to throttle body and see if I can find anything

Found plenty of corrosion in ECU plugs will start new thread on that

No reason for a new thread, but start by cleaning it and see if it helps. Figure out why it's happening, there must be water getting into it. Might have to replace the M/E. Open the connector and ensure there's not corrosion down the wires, if there is they will have to be cut off and replaced unless you want to replace the entire engine harness.

Just updating

Had star put on the car , came back with throttle body fault and would not adapted and same with replacement throttle body
