03 CL600 w/ RT (2) Tune: 4 Port Lower Radiator Hose P/N?
Hi All,
I’m looking to see if there was an upgraded 4-port lower radiator hose that may have been included in a Renntech Stage 2 Tune, as I have a family member who has been waiting to get their V12 CL on the road, but has ordered the standard part twice through peach parts (I don’t know if I’m remembering the name right, alas) and it hasn’t shown to be the right one.
I’m looking to source the part as a gift to get the car back on the road, so I haven’t asked what the part number is and don’t have easy access to a WIS (if anyone has an online link that’s be awesome) - I’m assuming if it was a RT upgrade I’m not sure it could be located there anyway.
Looking forward to any comments and help on this one as I’m more familiar with CLK parts.
Thanks!

Hmmmm. Like I said, these CL engines are not what I’m familiar with.
I’m looking for the stock part number first and foremost, then, looking for information on why the part may be different because of the tune (I’m not saying it is)
Thanks y’all

If you would post a picture of both, on car and what you bought, we would help you with pleasure

Wish I could! Like I said, this would be a surprise purchase for my pops, who’s has had the car up in the air for months - he fixed the suspension issue, but noticed there was a slow drip from the lower radiator hose. He could have put it all back together but elected to wait and get the new part.
He’s ordered the part twice now and both times it has shown up to be the wrong part. Just trying to get some info on the correct radiator hose for the CL 600 V12.
Sorry, got no pics. Just trying to get my dad back on the road from afar for Father’s Day.

I would suspect that there is 2 or 3 variants of the same hose available and that the dealer is ordering the wrong one.
You would be best to locate the part number on the hose itself and ordering that way.

As you can easily see at https://www.renntechmercedes.com/ind...-800-tq-detail the stage2 does not come with a different radiator.
The part number for the 215.376 engine coolant radiator is
A2205002003
There are several more radiators (ABC, Airco condsensor, intercooler etc)

I would assume that there is one that has 4 ports. I’ll keep looking as this thread has already provided valuable info for me.

Alright, I’ve had a little more discussion with him on this, asking which ports are for which cooling systems.
It’s looking like the lower radiator hose is serving the alternator, the intercooler/radiator for the suspension, and the intercoolers for the turbos as well. As the intercooler pump was upgraded for the stage 2 tune, wouldbit require a non-stock hose?
I’m guessing that this is something akin to the hose, but I’m not sure that it would fit:
https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...se/2205014782/
The question now would be, where to source the part from. Should I contact Renntech directly? Or would a stock part do?
Thanks all for helping. I want to get the car back on the road so he can enjoy it

The suspension has its own radiator, bolted at the front, small square one.
The row at the top of the IC radiator is the power steering cooler, and then there is an ATF cooler.
The only thing running through that hose is engine coolant.
There are two part numbers for that hose 2205014782 is from 12/12/03 build date 2205014882 is up to 12/12/03 build date.
One big end to the water pump, other big end (with clip) to bottom radiator connection
One small end appears to go to alternator
The other I am not sure, but likely the return from the heater matrix.
There is no IC coolant running through this hose, it will be connecting to unmodified MB parts only.
If you keep getting the wrong one, I would suspect you are getting the wrong part number supplied by MB.

Alexander, I appreciate your reply. This is getting to the crux of the issue, as one part that you described has three ports (the pre-2003) and one has 4 ports (post-2003).
My next question would be - why would a 2003 car have the 4-port hose?
Here are the pictures for reference of the parts, for anyone interested:

It's VIN specific. The dates are build dates not model year dates. You need to determine from the vin which is applicable.
Have you tried another dealer?

I see. In that case, I think that they have used the model year for looking up the part, which would explain why they keep getting the 3 port hose.
Appreciate the help Alexander.
