Transmission Acting Up

Hey everyone I have a 2002 CL500 and I was doing a top speed pull with my car (ive done a couple before) I reached about 110 and it was redline which was weird I have gone faster with the car so I start to left off I get to around 70 MPH and the car is still high in the revs around 4.5k so I try to use the manual gear select and it just stays in D it wont let me select and it wont shift up to 5th gear or down, it fixes itself once I restart the car but I dont understand why it would not shift up can anyone help out thanks!

Did you ever do a service on the trans ?
How many KM or Miles ?
cleaner, empty, cleanup, filter, new transfluid ?

don't panic until you cleaned and serviced the trans
they are ROCKsolid
