08 CL550 Sprt Pkg. hitting bumps or potholes issues
Hi members. I recently purchased a 08 CL550. The vehicle has been back to the dealership 4 times for the same issue. The last time I took the car back for service, the dealership kept my car for two weeks to R & D the car, supposedly they had a Tech from MB to comb the vehicle over. Apparently they claim that the problem that I have is normal with the CL's and its basically the characteristics of the way the car drives and handle.
Problem - everytime I hit a pothole or a bump on the road, I feel like the car shifts from side to side, almost feel like driving on an uneven road when the car pulls you left to right. I also notice it when I hit a deep manhole while the car feels like it wants lose control. Anyone else with similar issues?

Very weird. Does the problem go away (or "re-set") after you come to a stop? What about turning the key off then back on? I assume it doesn't just permanently pull to one side after hitting the pothole, or something would be bent and that would be easily diagnosed??

I believe you have to be going at least 40mph...My friend, who is a cop was driving my car, the cl600, at 120 mph and he hit a manhole cover on the highway, he gave me a puzzled look when the car shifted...i think its the rear mostly... the car settles down after and is fine...its like when rounding a corner and you hit a bump

the dealership have replace components that they though would be the cause. nothing is bent to the naked eye. The problem does not go away. If I travel over a minor uneven road bump, which all four wheel make contact, the car does not sway. Only when I hit something on one side of the car.
