How many CL600
For the model year 2014, how many CL600 cars were made? How many came to the USA? How many Designo CL600 cars to the USA? My new to me 2014 CL600 should be shipped this week. Will post pictures when it arrives.
Thanks for any information. I’m new to the CL forum, but have been on the forum with many other Mercedes cars.

I've searched this subject before and was able to find info on 2000-2006 but nothing on C216's other than 46 CL600's were manufactured in 2008. I wasn't able to confirm that with a 2nd source.

I don't have production stats for the facelift 2011-2014 models, but I did find worldwide stats for the pre-facelift C216 models: https://mercedes-benz-publicarchive....ml?oid=2462034
Global Pre-Facelift (2006-2010) C216 Production Numbers:
Global Pre-Facelift (2006-2010) C216 Production Numbers:
- CL500/CL550: 14550
- CL600: 2357
- CL63: 5100
- CL65: 1132

My information came from Ewe Nowak at Daimler in Germany, he was kind enough to give the the total count for the 11-14 run and by color. I was looking for a Designo Mystic red one, which he told me none were built. He did however tell me my full Designo Edition was a 1 only build.

Very cool! I think that is one you hold onto for a long time. Mine is an '07 CL600 with 69K miles. A 75 yo gentleman traded it in three years ago for a Ferrari. No major problems other than I've put less than 2,000 miles on it in three years.

I have a 2008 CL 65, and would like to get collector plates in BC, Canada (and save half the cost of registration and insurance here), but they require evidence that world wide production of the 2008 CL65 was less than 1500 units. I clearly believe this to be true. But cannot find it, other than here, on this post. The reference provided to MB states for the CL65 production numbers not differentiated, or some such. Any reference or evidence you can point to me would be great.
I love the car, but would not mind saving a few pesos.

I reached out to the good people at MB, and they advise, cannot advise by model year, but in 2007 they produced 518 CL65AMG for world wide distribution, and 305 in 2008.
Of those 6 were shipped to Canada in 2007, and only 2 in 2008.
It is a rare great car - and yes, I got my collector plates.

Could not find it on-line, so I submitted the question to MB Service thru the local service department. I got a response within 10 days, on MB letterhead, which worked for my insurance needs.
