Sam I handled this already..No mas man, it was all a big mis-understanding. These guys have respect for the 63 and the 65. I think Jays times are faster than most 65's

yea geez i guess i sparked a little debate...most of which was not at all about what i started the thread about....once the AMG package goes on my CL along with the renntech stage one. I will seek and destroy any 63 NOt taht I cannot now), esp S and CL's. heck I might take a CLK black with NP, if i ever see one....

Once they get the tranny issue fixed, the 63 engine will be an absolute monster on boost. If that motor is getting 500+ hp NA, the power it will have with just 7 PSI and a good intercooler will exceed 630 RWHP.
I will completely change my outlook on the 63 once the tranny issue is sorted and someone comes out with a good supercharger or twin-turbo system. However, it won't be a CL63 because I just can't get used to the new styling.

from what i understand the SL is not going to have a facelift but a new chassis for early 09 as an 2010 model with lights in the front similiar to the CLS

For one Autospies is the last place to get information. The SL has never been a 7 year car like other Mercedes so yes it will be facelifted again. The prototypes you see running around are the current car with some heavy modifications, not a totally new car. The facelift will be shown at Frankfurt in Sept.
Edit: Even the Autospies article says it is a facelift, so they actually got it right for a change.

i raced a cls63 (my cousins) in my moms e55, i always got the head start cause we didnt honk, i just floored and he followed...... he had NO problem staying with me and after about 110 he was slowly but surely pulling
